I’m a pilot myself. Love flying. Catapult launch off a carrier is on my bucket list not sure that’ll happen. I’m an NZ family sub and Nadine mentioned this video in your Q&A. Thought I’d check it out. Awesome bro. Atlanta and Denzel were so little. You have a great family!!
I love Airplanes, my Dad flys Model Airplanes so I’ve loved them since I was little, thanks for sharing your experience with all of us, looks like you had a hell of a good time..
COOL ! FYI the Yanks call the Harvard a T-6 Texan, and often seen in USA at Airshows. I was an apprentice engineer at Air NZ and started in 1981, the Air NZ training school had a Harvard (it didn't fly - not sure what happened to it, probably was sold off to one of managements mates for a bargain, and may now be part of the Warbirds or in a Museum) Anyway, we would do training maintenance on it with one of our instructors Cliff ( he was ex NZ Air Force) then start it and run the engine, one guy would be on the wing manually cranking the flywheel starter, while the other guy (we were all about 18 at the time) in the cockpit who was supposed to manually crank the fuel pump 3 times, but some of us would crank it as hard as we could so there would be a big flame and backfire during the start LOL. Then we would stand behind in the prop wash at 45 degrees with our overalls open. LOL. That was one the less stupid things we would do.....Forklift races down the runway at night- NZAA was a lot quieter back then.
Go Rams! I came to live in the US in Los Angeles in 2000, I had been a Rams fan since the 90's my brother moved here before me. My first Superbowl in the USA was Rams vs Patriots, so hoping for a rematch where the Rams come out on top.
