  • 20 minutes of NZ Warbird movements, including Strikemasters, a DC-3, P51 Mustang, Harvards and much more!
    I decided to focus more on the ground movements, since my girlfriend was already filming the shows and my air show skills aren't that good anyway.
    So, if you want to see some real action, have a look at her channel: / raychild18

    What a stunning collection of Classic props and a few "youngsters". These old aircraft do have a special style of their own! Loved the M*A*S*H helicopter at 16:44, was a huge fan of the TV series! Enjoyed very much :-D

      +Traveller Thanks! Good to hear you enjoyed it, I wasn't too sure to post this video, because of the awful wind conditions.

    Great video. Fortunate to have a ride in the Douglas DC3. Low and slow.

    One of the Strikemasters displayed at Classic Fighters Omaka 2015 and an air show commentator said that under CFA regulations the ejector seats had been disabled. Can anyone verify that?
    9:03 On Friday morning, at CFO 2015, the P51 arrived, unannounced, right across the airfield at 100 feet and...well, the best speed I could guess was that he was at least sub-sonic.
    It was an epic entrance!

    also why do they need like four fire truck and two ambulances for an emergency landing

    • @AviationNZ
      @AviationNZ  4 роки тому

      Guess it's all precautionary, like, worst case scenario (crashing into audience or building, causing big explosions, .. But not sure though, just my guess!

  • @SeargentBarnes
    @SeargentBarnes Рік тому

    17:23 is that a legit engine failure or part of the show? :)

    • @AviationNZ
      @AviationNZ  Рік тому

      Neither :) It was an emergency landing and they always shut off the engines on touchdown in those situations to prevent the blades touching the ground and flying into the fuselage/wing. I believe it was landing gear indicator failure, but not 100% sure.
