During COVID, Canada extended PGWP 3x. In 2024, no PGWP extension is announced. Many Indian graduates will be returning home with their Canadian experience and stories to tell. In 2023, Express Entry target is 82,880. Number of ITAs issued is 110,266. ITA surpassed target by 27,386. IRCC would overdraw on purpose because many ITAs won't be successful. There are about 900,000 international students in Canada.

Come to Canada is you study in in-demand occupations in a province or in Canada. In 2023, IRCC announced 82 prioritized occupations for easier PNP. Look for "Express Entry rounds of invitations: Category-based selection" and review the occupations. If you are in arts, stay home. If you are in commerce fields, they won't qualify for category-based Express Entry with lower CRS cutoffs. You will need PNP for PR; select your province carefully for easier PNP in your occupation.

There are no commerce occupations in the 82 prioritized occupations announced by IRCC in 2023. They won't qualify for category-based Express Entry draws. They belong to general Express Entry draws with very high CRS cutoffs. If you study commerce (accounting, finance, business admin, marketing, human resource, international business management, global business management, project management, etc.), you have to rely on PNP for PR. Find a province with friendly PNP streams for your occupation. If you get PNP, you receive 600 base CRS points.

You can apply for jobs posted in canada job bank. If hired, employer will go through LMIA and get you a closed work visa.
You can apply to 6 employers directly in New Brunswick under New Brunswick Critical Worker Pilot Program. If hired, employer will assist you with work permit and settlement.

In Canada, it is even worse due to small job market. You might be able to use your creativity in web development. UI/UX designers are under Web Developers, according to NOC code.

Most master degrees want CGPA of 3 minimum and 4 yr Bachelor degrees. There could be some acceptions. Make sure that you review PNP streams before studying in a province. In Ontario, it is OINP Masters Graduate Stream if you graduated with Master degree in an eligible Ontario public university; no job offers required to apply. In BC, it has BC PNP International Post-graduate stream for master degree graduates of certain eligible university programs.

It is a prioritized occupation announced by IRCC in 2023, qualified for STEM category Express Entry draws. The last two STEM draws had CRS cutoffs at 486 and 481. For career, it might get replaced by AI in the long run.

I come to return on your money. If you can get PR, then it might be worth it. Review the 82 prioritized occupations announced by IRCC in 2023. If you work in one of them, your chance of PR is greater. Otherwise, you are at the mercy of PNP. Often students studied in the wrong province with difficult or impossible PNP streams for their occupations.

If you have skills then you can earn 8-10 lpa or more if you have been studying in any tier 1 or tier 2 college in india with any course. And if you’re studying IT then you can easily earn upto 12-15 lpa as a fresher. It’s just all about upskill yourself.

It is very difficult to get above 500 CRS score without the help of PNP, LMIA, or French. Your best bet is PNP. Look for a province with easier PNP stream for your occupation. PNP is your only hope for PR. You need to compare PNPs and decide on a province.
