Man i really can relate to your internal struggle as a becoming father.
I know you didn´t mention it but i want to bring it up regardless because you touched on something in me in those few insights into your family life. I never in my life, not in even in clear life or death-situations, felt more terror as when my child came to existence. The fear for the safety of your kid is something no one is able to prepare you for.
