Jimmy Barnes has been an Australian legend for 50 years. He and his original band Cold Chisel have a 50th anniversary tour this year. They are literally the best band you have never heard of (they are Rolling Stones class but with better singers) because of getting screwed over by some idiots in the US music industry. Chisel went back to Australia and wrote a song called 'You got nothing I want' about the US music industry. It tells you everything you need to know...
Jimmy, lead singer, his daughter Mahalia background vocals, his son on the drums and Joe, the guitar master, collaboration. Jimmy singing with Tina Turner when he was younger, singing Simply the Best is amazing - they match each other in energy so well and it is just a pleasure to watch them together having so much fun.
This is a song Jimmy has been doing for many years, this collaboration with Joe Bonamassa is in my view a spectacular arrangement and performance, every musician here a star. Jimmys son on drums, his daughter on backing vocals.
Joseph Leonard Bonamassa is an American blues rock guitarist, singer and songwriter. He started his career at age twelve, when he opened for B.B. King. Peace out
Jimmy and his entire family are heavily sort after in the music world. He has collaborations with many artists. His strong Scottish accent and Aussie mentality makes him a special and well loved Australian Legend.
Jimmy is my favourite singer. ❤❤❤ He is a legend in Australia 🇦🇺 He was a teenager when he joined Cold Chisel. He was their lead singer, although their guitarist Ian Moss also sang lead on songs. Both are mighty fine. Jimmy Barnes, aka Barnsey, brings the rock and soul, and Ian Moss, aka Mossy, brings the blues. For Jimmy's rock sound, try Wild Thing from The Last Stand concert or Goodbye (Astrid Goodbye). To listen to Ian sing, try Bow River, but it would have to be live at the 2003 Ringside concert just to hear Dave Blight slaying it on the harmonica.
Jimmy has 50 years of music behind him, beginning with his band Cold Chisel in the early 70' to 84, then a solo career from 84 to 2024 and still going. He has the most no1 albums of any artist in Australia with I think 17 or 18. Jimmy is doing it tough at the moment having to cancel one tour for hip surgery then got a virus which spread to his heart and had to cut a tour for open heart surgery and in the last few weeks cut another tour short for another hip surgery. He is 67. I have a song you will thoroughly enjoy it Soothe Me by Jimmy Barnes and Sam Moore. Jimmy is 66, and Sam is 86. Sam is from the America group Sam and Dave.
New subscriber as I subscribe to anyone that reacts to any Australian acts. Jimmy Barnes is the lead singer of cold chisel who are considered Australians best group ahead of even fellow Aussie bands AC/DC and INXS Cold chisel songs are phenomenal if you really want to see jimmy’s phenomenal voice then react to any song from cold chisel and/or any songs from Jimmy’s solo career or the many duets he sings Jimmy Barnes singing a cover of “change gonna come will blow your mind Jimmy Barnes singing with fellow Australian John Farnham “when something is wrong with my baby” is out of this world John Farnham is known as the voice in Australia due to his singing abilities John Farnham is epic and he is also considered a legend like Jimmy. Any songs from John are great but him singing the Beatles song “help” is life changing Jimmy Barnes also sings a great song called “goodtimes” with INXS and also “simply the best” with Tina Turner With cold chisel anything they sing is excellent especially since they can all sing and play many instruments Some of my favourite cold chisel songs are Flame trees Khe Sahn Bow river Wild thing (cover) Cheap wine Saturday night Choir girl Forever now ❤ from Australia
subbed when i saw you were doing Jimmy Barnes. You would really appreciate Jimmys band, Cold Chisel, doing Bow River live at Ringside 2003. The harmonica (yes harmonica) is legendary, as is their other lead vocalist Ian Moss
Have you realised this is an older Jimmy who did the duet with John Farnham (pronounced Far-Nam) & Diesel ‘ something is wrong with my baby’ ? Jimmy has mellowed over the decades but amazing in all stages of his career. His sone is on the drums.
You need to look up them doing deep purple cover lazy The musicians alone worth the look Jimmy the cherry on top They collaborated Jimmy solo artist after leaving band cold chisel in Australia 🇦🇺 If you want to see his power as a younger Jimmy look this up Cold chisel wild thing live performance last stand version This is old but you will see how good they where even young and a pub band originally They are working class band and never forgotten where their roots came from Also you might like Jimmy barnes and Tina turner Singing a collaboration together Called simply the best Tina loved it as much as Jimmy 5 decade's of jimmy's hits here in Australia and around the world Yet they got rejected by American music industry because told had nothing to offer They wouldn't go anywhere cold chisel Cheers mate 🦘🇦🇺👍
When he said strong voice man, I laughed 😅 so hard. If he only knew. Check out his early years with Cold Chisel., his duet with John Farnham When Something Is Wrong With My Baby. Jimmy and Tina Turner Simply The Best is great too. When reacting to Cold Chisel, Jimmy Barnes, John Farnham reactions should be live as their performances are a show in themselves. Joe Bonamassa was a child prodigy. He started playing at 4, at 9 he was playing with guys 20 years older, AR 12 he opened for the legendary blues artist BB King. Jimmy's daughter Mahalia has toured with Joe. Check out Riding With The Kings.
Jimmy is Aussie rock legend and Joe Bonamassa is an American blues legend, got his start opening for B B King at 12yo. So the B B reference by you was apt!
The rest of Ozz have already told you enough about Jimmy. Joe Bonamassa is a living blues guitar master who should be a legend in the USA, but isn't......except he is amongst the guitarists and blues / rock music industry. First played live on stage with B B King as a 12 yo. By the age of 14, B B hired him as his own opening act and audience warmer. Joe owns his own recording label, publishes his own music, owns his own recording studio complete with house band, has his own touring band and doesn't need the gangsters of the music industry........hence he is shunned by most US radio stations, which is why most Americans don't know him. Jimmy's daughter Mahalia Barnes was a long time backing vocalist for Joe, especially with his touring band......and although Joe does most of his own singing, he did let Mahalia take lead on many songs, as well as performing with many great vocalists, such as Beth Heart and Jimmy.
Please react to Jimmy Barnes and John Farnham (GOAT singer) perform , 'When Something Is Wrong With My Baby ', at the ARIA (Australian Recording Industry Awards). It's AMAZING !!!
Its so unfair that even Americans haven't heard of Joe Bonamassa . He has more No1 albums than any other blues artist in history . He opened for BB King when he was 12 yo. Jimmy Barns and family has strong links to Joe . His daughter Mahalia Barns has sung back up vocals and duets' with Joe and even Jimmy's son is there in this one playing the drums . These guys are musical royalty when you look into their careers.
I have been following Jimmy Barnes for over 40 years. Watched him grow into a fine singer and all his family are musical along with their Partners. You saw young Jimmy when you reviewed Cold Chisel Bow River. Can;t believe you hadn't heard Joe Before. PLEASE STOP COMPARING MUSICIANS AND SINGERS WITH OTHER PERFORMERS. They are natural talents and don't deserve to be thought of as a copy of BB King or someone else.
Leonardo, I'm not sure if you aren't doing rock, my original suggestion gets blocked, or you just don't want to do it but I have another suggestion if that is the case. Justin Bieber - Where You Go I Follow (feat. Pink Sweat$, Chandler Moore, Judah Smith) ua-cam.com/video/2BNmPM8IGLU/v-deo.htmlsi=298oTsazCWjQ40KU As we all know Justin /Beieber has been on a faith journey. Where he is with Christ only he and God knows. However this song is truly blessed and has touched my heart many times. I wouldn't ordinarily suggest Justin Beieber but There is an annointing on this song.

Jimmy’s son is on drums and his daughter is on backing vocals 😎😎 Very beautiful talented family! 🇦🇺🐨🇦🇺
"Strong voice" = understatement of the year when it comes to describing Jimmy Barnes!
New sub here, Jimmy is my 50+ years schoolgirl crush. The man could sing the instructions for a toaster and make it sound great. ❤🏴🇦🇺
His duet with Tina Turner when he was younger of "Simply The Best" is fantastic.
Joseph Leonard Bonamassa is an American blues rock guitarist, singer and songwriter. He started his career at age twelve, when he opened for B.B. King. Peace out
Jimmy's daughter( Mahalia) is a backing singer for Joe Bonamassa, the drummer is jimmy's son Jacky, Mahalia is one of the backing singer on this track
Jimmy and his entire family are heavily sort after in the music world. He has collaborations with many artists. His strong Scottish accent and Aussie mentality makes him a special and well loved Australian Legend.

Love the growl….nice. Great bluesy song! 👍🏻 Awesome guitar!
This song was written by Cold Chisel drummer.
You might like Cold Chisel a great Aussie band with Jimmy as one of the lead vocalist. 👏
Do "Riding with the Kings" Joe Bonamassa with Jimmy's daughter Mahalia on vocals, she is a new Aretha!
Jimmy Barnes did a cover of I Put A Spell On You from Screamin' Jay Hawkins. Gives me chills every single time!!!!

Jimmy is a beast!! You should see his earlier stuff.... blow your hat off your head

Please please watch Jimmy sing with fellow Aussie legend John Farnham "Something wrong with my baby" best blues you can get.
Wait until you hear “ wild thing” by cold chisel at the last stand concert in 1983. Jimmy is supreme in it
Chisel are Aussie icons, legends and classic pub rock artists. Great musicians and songwriters. Much respect
The rest of Ozz have already told you enough about Jimmy.
