    Char GBT says this: Yes, Gangtok is in India. It is the capital of the northeastern state of Sikkim, which is located in the Himalayan mountains. Sikkim shares borders with Bhutan, Tibet, and Nepal. Gangtok is known for its beautiful landscapes, monasteries, and as a gateway to various treks and scenic spots in the Himalayas.

      🙏🏻 we didn't visit as traveler's we planned out which were the rest places for lifestyle and taught Brazilian Jiu-jitsu at local MMA clubs while we were there so we got to build a deep relationship with local people and get a real sense for what it is like to be an expat in India. We tried to avoid big tourist trap places and focus on cities famous for safety, lifestyle, and hygiene.

    I dont think anyone answered your questions in comments so "Marg" is a hard g like "Gate." It's a sanskrit word if Im not wrong (googled it, it's not sanskrit but hindi/nepali, but there's a lot of overlap in north indian languages so i wouldnt be surprised if the origin was sanskrit still) , and just means "road," or "path." So you'll see LOADS AND LOADS of roads all across India called "Xyz Marg." You'll find tons of "M.G. Marg" = "Mahatma Gandhi Road" in almost every city too.

    Sikkim was once an independent country like Bhutan and Nepal. On April 9, 1975, the Indian army invaded Sikkim and disbanded the palace guards of the King of Sikkim. The King was placed under house arrest. On January 29, 1982, the King of Sikkim died in New York, USA.

      I can imagine up in Sikkim it's a very different culture much more like Tibet than like Rajasthan. May as well be different countries

    • @Ozukovsky
      @Ozukovsky Місяць тому

      @@rebornabroad That's all over India. The culture changes region to region. Most foreigners end up travelling in north India like Delhi, Rajasthan which even we Indians tend to avoid for vacations. It's because most immigrants who travel to UK, Canada, US are usually from this region Punjab, Delhi etc therefore their culture is more often than not portrayed as "Indian Culture" whereas it's very diverse even the cuisine, language, demographics, geography change based on the part of the country you are in. Rule of them should be : Avoid the "golden triangle". It's the worst but somehow it's the only popular tourist routes for foreigners and they mostly visit those parts

    The second vegetable market is reserved for the veggies imported out of sikkim while the first one is reserved for veggies organically grown in outskirts of gangtok
    Sikkim is full organic state but the population cant be sustain by organic yields thats why there are two seperate Vegetable section as u might have noticed the second one is bigger than the first one
    Its safe to say veggies grown in sikkim is organic even though yields are low

    hey guys, don't wanna tell you your stuff but just saying intros like this 00:00 - 00:50 while being very cinematic, are absolutely brutal for the youtube format and viewer retention. Just jump in straight to here 0:58 instead. Yeah I know. I wish UA-cam viewers would appreciate some storytelling but nope. This video might do big numbers either way (I hope it does!) but the first minute is definitely playing against you. Maybe give it a couple weeks and see how the video performs, and if it's unsatisfactory then go into the youtube editor and chop that first minute off. Should help it perform better. And ignore all of this if it goes viral anyway haha, just passing on some knowledge I've learned on the way, as someone who prefers cinematic storytelling intros but has to accept that UA-cam audiences don't :(

    • @rebornabroad
      @rebornabroad  Місяць тому +1

      Thanks for that. I know some people who get away with it like Indigo travelers, but he already has a huge base. Mostly, we try and make money off our business and aren't too concerned about being big on UA-cam. We definitely would like to grow of course. Thanks for the advice

    Only problem, after 400 years of islamic procreation, the original inhabitants are replaced with mixed people, and most have rulers's blood. That is clearly not retained.
    But where was India when the British arrived? There was no india but a collection of 650+ warring 'small' Princely States , fighting among themselves, destroying all productive economy and only to 'gain' wealth through subjugation and conquest, i.e. 'looting'.
