😂 to the last part. Would you believe the other story she painted in court documents, I wonder. Was she telling the truth in her book or in court documents contesting Joan's will...
Christina has repeatedly stated that the film is highly inaccurate, and that the portrayal of her mother in the film is nothing like the real Joan Crawford, emphasizing that she never wrote in her book that Joan chopped down a tree with an axe, or beat her with a wire hanger as depicted in the film.
Honestly the book is so much more worse in regards to the abuse. The movie barley covers it. I think Christina also wants people to read the book so she will obviously say that the movie is nothing like the book.
Also wanted to add it was all about the money Joan Crawford didn't leave Christina nothing and that's what it's about shame on her shame on you Christina
Yep. The fact that Joan’s friends and family so vehemently deny Christina’s claims is evidence (not proof, there is a difference) that this IS true. Their behaviour matches that of “Flying Monkeys” which are family members or friends that enable the Narcissist and see them for how they want to be seen as, not as who they really are. It’s common and it wouldn’t surprise me if that’s exactly what was happening.

She calls her- her Mother, but wouldn't it had been more Truthful if she said her adopted Mother. I like to know if Christina ever try to locate her Biological Parents especially her Birth Mother.

@MeadeFatLoss Doesn't mean she was guilty either. So stop judging people you don't know. Christina was not her biological daughter. So she had every opportunity to say untrue things about Joan to make money. Crawford had 2 other daughters who claims Christina's book was untrue and they were never abused. So we'll never know, but it leans more towards Christina being an opportunist most have said. But again, we weren't there.

The book and movie captured the truth about child abuse and alcoholism. I admire Christina

The movie was so harshly criticized. It’s amazing. I demand it be reevaluated in modernity!

Everything in that movie was directly from the book
That's FALSE. Christina never wrote that she was beat with a hanger or that her mother cut down a tree with an ax.
People accept the movie as fact, but here is the writer of the book saying it was largely fiction. Enough said.
