I think you have your seat a little low on this bike. You shouldn't be able to put your feet flat on the ground. Apart from that, a great video. You're looking well for 72. Keep up the good cycling. Greetings from the UK.
Thats for a regular pedal bike. If you are able to pedal and want to pedal, then you don't need an ebike. I am disabled, and cannot pedal. I have to have the seat down where I can get my feet solidly on the ground to keep from falling over.

It is primarily for long distances, but other than that, yes it is overkill.
