Aren't there two things you have to prove for Falsification of Business Records: The intent to defraud and a conspiracy or a cover up of another crime. Who is being defrauded and what is this other crime? He's not been charged with another crime in the indictment. Is there another indictment out there?
If the other crime is some kind of election interference Trump hasn't been charged with (yet) what is that law? It doesn't seem reasonable that the crime is he did not report a payment to his sex worker as a payment to his sex worker, because , if you admit that in a public document what's the point of the cover up? Would it matter if the funds came from a personal account, a business account, or a PAC? Who is being defrauded if the attorney and Daniels got paid?
Most of the value of this case is that it breaks the taboo around prosecuting an ex President .. once that dam is broken the other cases will proceed seamlessly enough .. if you can say that about any Trump trials !
It makes me sick that going after family members works so well for him.
Not for anyone with ears to hear and eyes to see.
