I think what the other person was saying is that for the price of buying tracks for your quad you could have a quad still and buy a nice used sled for. So you wouldn't have to use the sled to go up a hill in the summer, but you would have 2 toys instead of 1 with tires and tracks.
You think??? Well you may be right. You need a 650 cc. at least. Maybe a Kawasaki Brute Force 650? or a Grizzly 660 or 700.... The Apache tracks look good to me. The ones featured here are Camoplast Tatou....They look quite functional as well. What is your preference of ATV and Tracks? What did you think of the Ranger 700 on tracks?check it out on my channel favs...
i love everything in the snow, i quad and sled, but you do more in the snow then a quad can, a quad can't carve, or jump, or cat walk, what do you do when a quad like this gets stuck and you are on your own? a sled is relativly easy to get unstuck and oh ya a sled is FASTER, BUT I LIKE EM ALL, JUST SLEDDING IS MY PREFERENCE.
@321812513 Yes it is different the thing I noticed most was how much smoother the tracks were in rough conditions, like driving across a field was way smoother with the tracks. You do lose some steering and maneuverability but you gain a lot in stability and traction.
@braydenpresber Yes sleds are faster that is given fact but I want to see that sled go up the hills I ride in the summer on either tracks or wheels. As far as getting stuck well last time I looked most sleds don't have reverse, my Polaris ATV does and my atv also has a handy winch and if I really need to make a path I can hook my snow plow. So do you still want to make a comparison cause there is not one they are different machines even when you put tracks on an atv.

tracks are awesome
Snowmobiles might be faster than these Tracked ATV's, but these have much better traction and Carrying surface area...
