I just watched "Spirited Away" again (for the first time in many years) last Sunday, introducing it to an old friend from High School. He's not an anime fan and had never seen it, but he is (like me) something of a classical and orchestral music buff. Hence, when I learned a few months ago that none other than Joe Hisaishi himself (composer of all the Studio Ghibli anime musical scores) would be making a special appearance next January with the Philaldelphia Orchestra (my home town!), I convinced this friend to join me for the concert. Since the program will contain selections from the "Spirited Away" soundtrack I told him that he at least needed to see that movie sometime before we went in January. He really seemed to enjoy the movie and I told him that, although I've seen it before (though not for many years) the ending and this finale song always brings tears to my eyes! So thanks for posting this!
I’m a lifelong weeb, and Spirited Away was my first taste of Japan as a child, so naturally that movie, and this song, rocked my world. Now that I’m an adult and studying Japanese, I want to memorize the song and amaze my inner child being able to sing it fluently 🥰 As well as some other anime and video game songs, singing in Japanese just makes me happy 😊

Though I haven't seen the grand anime film, I think the song shows a warm story or a good ending.
