Crazy to hear ppl say Thee Boom isn't balanced. The woodwinds sounding off strong on top of brass and every section in the brass is heard. Thee Boom is literally the most balanced SWAC band this year.

@@jdigga96 playing a unified crescendo is not the totality of playing with dynamics. It doesn’t even scratch the surface lol. Go listed to the Berlin and London Philharmonic Orchestra if you want to know what playing with dynamics truly means. None of these bands can achieve it because it’s virtually impossible in a marching band setting. Especially in a stadium considering acoustics and the science behind how sound travels. You don’t want this argument with me. I actually study music and have the degrees to prove it. I’ve played professionally in symphonic orchestras, I’ve actually performed at Carnegie Hall. So I have the knowledge to know that what an HBCU marching band can accomplish isn’t the same as what wind ensembles and orchestra can accomplish in the same manner. The only type of performance bands that come close to replicating symphonic sounds on a field are DCI bands. The Blue Devils, the Bluecoats, Phantom Regiment, Carolina Crown, etc. HBCU bands aren’t at that level of musicianship yet. So, I’m not trying to hear any high level analysis. I look for sound, power, pitch, tone, and balance. That’s it.

I’m so glad this our last year playing TnSU they are so garbage .. they got all them horns and sound sorry
I'm glad it's our last year playing JSU. Tired of hearing yall cry when yall loose. Go just blow somewhere else.
@@kwizzle83 Lol but JSU still has dozens of other HBCU bands to play this year and so forth. This is TNSUs boombox classic they have no one else to look forward too 😂😂. I’m sure this match up will be missed tho lol
@@Gil172 they need us .. we don’t need them lol
@@kwizzle83 the city finna go broke the next couple years since y’all want be playing us but depend on this game to make money
Jackson sounds like Jackson they just blow! Tsu was clearer and fuller with dynamics! But jsu fans are loyal!
Deflection. Y’all got to be stopped
Only a problem when the boom do it lol
TnSU sound is clearer and they played a more diverse book. Jsu just blew with hardly any dynamics. Win goes to TnSU
Y’all kill me with this “dynamics” bullshit. That can’t be the only thing y’all look for as a distinguishing factor in who wins a 5th. That ain’t the Boom’s style. Never has been. I mean, it’s in the name. They’re about sound and power. And that’s exactly why every time TSU played, the Boom EASILY cut into their sound. I was there, sitting literally right next to AOB and could hear JSU clearly over the AOB when they played at the same time. AOB’s song selection was mid at best, and that trombone section is HORRID. I complained all night about it.

You must be a youngin, that’s not why jsu is called sonic boom. If you go back and listen to jsu in the 80s and 90s they played with dynamics. Now it’s just blow, out of tune. A bunch of rap, and even when it’s not rap, just blow with no sense of style. TnSU came out on top, you should be honest with yourself and give the win to TnSU also, unless you’re not a real musician
That’s it.
@@FinestOfTheSouth ppl say anything when they know they not cranking 🤣u not finna convince me that tsu bones ass good as Jackson’s not even close
