Got my hands on the new Z Fold 6 3days ago. It looks and feels fantastic! YOU HAVE TO FEEL & HOLD IT. The refinement is absolutely on point on every angle. The built feels so robust! Photos and videos won't do justice. You have to check it out! I upgraded from my current Z Flip 5. Excited to receive my preorder. 🔥

The Fold 6 has a better battery life than the OnePlus Fold. I saw a battery life test where the Fold's inner unfolded screen beat out the Oneplus Fold as well as other other phones with a smaller screen and bigger batteries. Only the Iphone 15 pro Max beat the Fold's unfolded screen handily, and the S24 Ultra only slightly edged it out.
@@kfx3907 the software is fair. I didn’t have an issue with mine and felt it was useful. I downloaded the Oppo Theme Store and could customize it a little bit but Samsung Good Lock beats it hands down. Bixby Routines is also the easiest and most slept on automation suites on any smartphone. I can definitely see where you are coming from there. Samsung has a lot to offer as far as software capabilities if you’re a power user. The battery life was also phenomenal. With my use I was easily getting 10 hours of SOT. That being said ALL foldable suffer in the durability department. Anything with moving parts is more likely to fail. I’ve seen failures from every company and accept it comes with the territory of relatively new tech. Samsung offers a cheap one time replacement so the peace of mind there is worth acknowledging. I’m currently debating on the Fold 6 or getting the Open again. Miss having a foldable and am already bored with my 15 Pro Max. The cheaper price, faster charging, and barely noticeable crease have me pulling back to the Open. I looked at trade ins on both for my Pixel 8 Pro and it’s around $150 difference. Really a tough decision.

3:45 but that is point of this device: one display for one hand and the other for two hand use. Having used the Fold 4 for almost two years, I totall get the logic here and was appreciative that I could use my one hand for stuff like holding on to something while having the phone in the other hand!
@davidk467 I honestly have. I've had Z Fold3-5 and got the S-Pen case with the 5 and honestly with the Samsung Care+ repair only being $29 USD, I've taken off the case and have enjoyed it. I've dropped it so many times and thought every time it was for sure going to be broken and to my surprise, it was fine, specifically with the Fold5.
You actually don't need a watch or ring to activate the shutter. In samsung phones, there's a feature where if you hold your hand up while using the camera app, the phone will recognize your hand start a countdown to take a picture.
Yesssss, ZZZ mentioned! Tbh, that game is the reason I pre-ordered this phone. My '23 Razr Plus just can't run it well enough, and the 8GB of RAM causes me to have to reload it every time I do anything else. I'm ready to experience it on this big, amazing screen 😍
I have a fold 5 but could not resist in getting the 6 . Especially with all the discounts, rebates and trade in value i got! The phone ended up only being about $430 US. Not bad fur this almost $2,000 phone! I think it was upgrading even though i only had the 5 for a year. Lol

I'll be upgrading from my Fold 5 if Samsung manages to upgrade the below points: 1, the camera hardware 2, the inner display to be less reflective (like what they did with the S24 Ultra) 3, bigger battery or significant improvement of the battery life

I ordered the fold 6 but i decided to also order the s24 ultra 1tb. When the fold 6 get here im sending it back. The idea of owning the fold 6 sounds more fun then it makes sense to actually own it. The outside screen is still too small, and to be forced to use the inside screen due to the lack of functionality on the narrow outside screen takes the fun away for me. The price is way too high to justify no camera upgrades, same battery, it being a hair bigger on the outside screen and shorter. Im mean come on we're getting less or the same with just ai software updates that can easily come to other devices and they will. The s 24 ultra still beats the new fold 6 and both devices get 7 years security and software updates. Keep in mind the s24 ultra came out the same year as the fold 6 and their only months apart. Why get ripped off hundreds of dollars just to say you have the latest disappointment?

The outer display is always been glass the internal screen felt slightly plastic but you can remove the screen protector and it's going to feel a little like glass.
I will not be getting this phone again untill samsung decides to give it a better phone camera system and a built in s pen. I had my fair share to experience the z flip 3 and fold 5. Also main reason, I won't be getting this phone again untill samsung makes the main screen more wider

It could be better for productivity. Get a laptop if you want to be productive and efficient. The Fold is really for having extra screen size for watching videos, reading or using the S-pen.
I had 3 generations of fold from 2 to 4. In the end up their shortcomings became too much for me and I went over to the ultra. Camera tech which is years old, a crease which is still too pronounced given what the competition can now achieve. Battery stuck at 4500 when competition are up at 5000 or more. 25 watt "fast" charging which is archaic at this point. And then not a big deal but the cadence they are on with the release schedule means your talking about next gen processors when they are released. Just stings a bit when you spend nearly 2 grand on a phone and the processor is last year's tech in 4 months time. Google had the right idea delaying their fold release to wait on the newest processor. Samsung had a great thing with the fold but the Chinese giants have overtaken them now and I'd be far more likely to go Vivo or one plus if I go back to a foldable.
Wanted to try the OnePlus fold but no wireless charging or band 14 makes it too much compromise. Tried the pixel fold, but the tensor exynos chip had horrible signal. Battery was also worse and phone froze and overheated often when running apps side by side. Fold 5 had best battery life of US market folding phones even with the smaller battery
Iv been a Samsung fan for years did iPhone for a year and going back to Samsung. Apple has a good software technology but hardware wise Samsung is better .

Samsung seems to have done very little R&D of their own, with the watch and earphones look strikingly similar to the Apple Watch and Airpods, right down to the watch bands, earphone design and icons etc. This lack of originality is disappointing. There are very few hardware changes this year. Instead, Samsung has introduced AI features that feel more like a software update and we get all these from other companies like Dalle or Chatgpt etc, which could have been included with One UI. UA-camrs like you should highlight these issues and call out these companies for their lack of innovation.
I think both watch ultra (apple and galaxy) are different designs. They both have their unique designs. We have to remember a wrist watch can mostly be square or circle so if tomorrow apple comes up with a round dial it does not mean its a copy.
And you sound like Apple doesn't do that thing either lol. If you see the iPhone 16 renders, they copied Galaxy S series camera layouts and the new ios 18 features are just copy and paste from the Samsung and Google. Do you remember the 3.5 inch iPhones back in the days? That was what Steve Jobs wants their phone to be sized. But why would they change to the bigger screens just like Samsung? That is another copy from Apple.

@@Slh94 I have used the fold 5 and the crease is too much. I use the the flip as a daily driver and the crease still bothers me. But with a small phone I can live with it. The fold I could never live with that crease.

I heard silver has more of a higher quality feel and the crafted black feels like a skin.

With phone dorectly in front of you, can't see the crease on my fold 5. I only notice it when gaming and finger slides across it.

The Fold itself is Samsung's R&D.
Please say you just don't know Galaxy Gear sport 2018. If you see that design, you will notice where this design came from.

If you see the iPhone 16 renders, they copied Galaxy S series camera layouts and the new ios 18 features are just copy and paste from the Samsung and Google. Do you remember the 3.5 inch iPhones back in the days? That was what Steve Jobs wants their phone to be sized. But why would they change to the bigger screens just like Samsung? That is another copy from Apple.

Sad to see another tuber buought by Samsung. ZF6 is years behind others foldables. Samsung is just lucky with little competition in US.

@@Slh94 I have used the fold 5 and the crease is too much. I use the the flip as a daily driver and the crease still bothers me. But with a small phone I can live with it. The fold I could never live with that crease.
