The campus is stunning, a blend of mordern and history. I go here as an international student, but I am in my home country right now because of the virus. I love Tsinghua, for it has a great community and education.
Study at your local college, help ypur local community. Always remember, a university is nothing without its students. I hate the fact that people focus more on getting into ivy league colleges because they 'rank' higher or their average campus job placement is high. You dont need a degree from MIT to change the world, to help community. Knowledge is everywhere, if you're willing, enthusiastic and motivated you can change the world. Help your local community, study locally and help people. Ive seen rural areas not developing because youth is busy finding 'job opportunities' in urban area and this led to an unequal development.
I came to Beijing with my friend and lived in this beautiful city for a month. Now, 2 months later I really miss it! I really wanna do my graduate studies here (undergrad too but mom wont let me out of russia without a degree lol). I will study hard and do my best to try and get in)

I’m Canadian 🇨🇦 but originally from Africa, my son chose this university to go to hopefully next year July. I hope he likes there and study hard to make momma proud, and also the money and time he spends will be worthy. 😊

Computer science was ranked #1 per US News ranking 2019. Most of students either go to MIT or Standford for a higher degree or build their own company. Not easy to hire a student to write code for you from there.

How are International students accomodated due to the huge cultural shock? Whats the guarantee that the Chinese teachers will give the lecture in full english and not chinese? Majority of chinese dont even know how to speak english then how will International students communicate with the staff & workers inside & outside university?

I do love China and is a Chinese myself, but gotta think about the billions of people in China and its very difficult to get into Tsinghua. For me, I feel like this is like a soft-power for the western world. Notice how they never talk the freedom and when I think of China, Beijing I think about the government and its history, the fact that they destroyed most of their culture mostly to their Mao's cultural revolution. Do they think that the fact they want to hide how they almost destroyed their own culture? There's no real culture except for the Chinese communist party... because they don't represent the people and they abuse their powers to obtain what they want. The reason why they don't have culture is because the chinese communist party. The people is culture not the government, and that's the problem. I wouldn't want to study in China because of political reasons. I hope problems willl get fixed with the chinese government, especially the the very basic rights that chinese should have, the freedom of speech.

(My ex-girlfriend failed to get into Thu for undergraduate this year ) Hence, what you need to do for getting into Thu is just to change your nationality. Lol. Btw, why not try to get into ivies rather than attend Thu?
