I’m 34 and my husband is 68. We have a two year old. You might expect people to think that I’m my husband’s daughter, but since I have grey hair that I let grow out people assume we are BOTH grandparents!! 😂 it bothered me a bit the first time, but now I laugh. People seem to love the fact that he is an older daddy though, after they get over the shock. Lol. Love you guys!
Same! I’m 21 my man is 59 and our daughter is 5 months people always say he’s a older daddy cause he is 🤣he already has a grandchild too before we met and had our daughter so he’s already a grandpa and a new father again
I'm 35 and hubby is 58. We've been married 15 years and have 1 teen and a 12 YO! Age is really nothing but a number. I have no friends, other than family. And I'm perfectly fine with that. No drama.
It definitely is not as easy to make friends as an adult as it was as a kid. I’ve joined a book club, church, and a softball league in the past year, and I haven’t come away with a friend that I do one on one activities with. My softball team gets together occasionally, but as a group activity. It’s even harder I think when you don’t have kids because you don’t have that commonality and regular interaction through extracurricular activities.
@@KittyKat-xt6rw I’m sorry to hear that. I had no issue making friends growing up. I always had a pretty busy social life, but would’ve never considered myself popular. I just had a good core group of friends. After some traumatic experiences over the past year and a half, I’ve started to outgrow a lot of my long term friendships. I decided to branch out and try to start fresh with some new friends, but it’s been really difficult. I don’t know why it’s so much harder now, but I definitely know it is. Maybe it’s harder to find commonalities now.
With the ‘flirting’ comment or Larry being nice and talking to the cashier, you never know what’s going on in her life/day and his conversation may make a huge difference in her day where they feel not so alone or feel appreciated.
Yes, it’s healthy for adults to hang out and do fun things and get babysitters or do play dates! I think that would be good for you. Mindy I’ve always felt like you need more friends out there in FL! I wish I lived there so we could be friends haha. Don’t grow up too much too fast. You need “you time! “
Love you guys. You always keep it so real. I think every parent feels like they could have done more at the end of the day for there child. My daughter is 3 and a half and I feel like that still. It means you care.
As an adult, age shouldn't matter when it comes to love. You and ur family are blessed. I can only hope to be as fortunate in the future. Love ya guys bunches.
The cashier comment was so true. Sometimes a nice word is all someone might need that day. On the same topic, re friends. I chat with my local cashiers all the time and in time, some become friends. One of my longest friendships started this way over 20 years ago! You never know who you will meet and that is the fun part. :)
One thing I started once my kids were older was asking or saying to them are you proud of yourself or you should be so proud of yourself! Instead of always saying oh moms so proud of you. after I’ve said oh you should be so proud or are you so proud and usually get a ya! And then I follow through with so am I! I don’t know why or what made me chose this but I love it. Sometimes I’m hit with a no I’m not proud and of course we deal with that accordingly. ❤ you guys are great!!

So I think church is such an amazing place to meet friends at. We all get together at each other house for random get together and the laughs are incredible.
I'm 26 and my long term partner is almost 48, we are both metalheads, and enjoy going out to metal and punk bar shows, that's actually how we met. As an adult being part of a "scene" actually makes it really easy to make new friends and maintain friendships. As new people are always coming and going to shows and local gigs. The only way I’ve made friends as an adult is by working. Now that I’m a stay at home mom I have zero interaction with anyone. 🙃 but I’m blessed for my friendships I made before I became one.
little ones having swim lessons is a smart decision, when i was young around 5 or 6 i happened to be playing near a friends pool, they had company over and their small one who was around 2 fell into the deep end, without thought i went in after her and got her out, my parents started swim lessons for me when i was 4 and it it certainly helped its not about pressure to swim its about safety great vlog ty larrys hysterical

I definitely met friends once our kids were in activities. I had friends but not close or with kids close in age (I am still friends with those dear friends) and was pretty isolated until my kids were about 3-4.

Baby name: We have four children. Three boys and one girl. She is the youngest. When I was in sixth grade, I ready Anne Frank’s diary. I was obsessed with learning more, and found out that her name, Anne, is short for Anneliese. I thought Anneliese the most-beautiful name I ever heard, and decided, then and there, that if I have a daughter, her name will be Anneliese. First one: Eric or Anneliese: Eric Second one; Nathaniel or Anneliese: Nathaniel Third one: Jeremiah or Anneliese: Jeremiah Finally! So, she was a few days old. I looked at her and she looked at me. I was so upset (postpartum hormonal weirdness) because she did not look like and Anneliese. We named her KellyAnne. After a few days as KellyAnne, I came to my senses and changed her name to Anneliese. She loves her name and has a sense of pride that she is named after Anne Frank. ❤

Those big blue eyes don’t hurt either! I’m not gunning for your man Mindy but I totally get why you married him and how he could turn a frown upside down!
Hi mindy and Larry I love to you guys on UA-cam are my favor couple who care what people say as long you love your husband
LOL 🤣🤣🤣 my husband has the SAME pet peeve about the hair and the microwave!!! WHY are we like this Mindy?!? I’m laughing so hard 😂😂
I definitely met friends once our kids were in activities. I had friends but not close or with kids close in age (I am still friends with those dear friends) and was pretty isolated until my kids were about 3-4.
My husband and I are 7 years apart and we were married 5 months after we met and I was 18 going on 19 We are about to celebrate our 15 year anniversary:) we still don’t have friends around we go on movie dates or whatever but the friends we do have are in Jacksonville FL we are in Georgia lol so I can definitely relate as to what Larry and you are saying. It gets busy especially with little ones or even with life It’s hard to meet new people closer by 😂 ah life!
Me and my childhood best friends have get togethers every month or two with our families and kids. We do potlucks and game nights and fireworks and camping together. But we’ve known each other 20 years +
Little Liam’s voice is so sweet in the background 💙💙💙

Not sure if you have ever heard of it but their is a app called peanut it’s a really cool app to meet mom friends & also getting advice & talking about stuff ❤
Mindy , I’m very out going too. But I have childhood friends, for 60 years . I also have news friends . And I will become my family.❤
Baby name:
We have four children.
First one: Eric or Anneliese: Eric
Second one; Nathaniel or Anneliese: Nathaniel
Third one: Jeremiah or Anneliese: Jeremiah
Finally!
OMG I can't believe he's 2 already
