My son has surface hunted with me several times but this was his first dig. A kid finding a cashe of Indian artifacts on his first dig. Find me on facebook, user alabama arrowheads.
Thats great son , That is the closest you will ever get to time travel , When that tool got in the palm of your hand the last person to handle it did the same thing , 5000? 10000? 14000? yrs ago , No amount of money can buy that I saw that smile thanks dad that was a real dig.
My dad took me with him since I could walk I’m 53 now and he passed away in 2013 and I’ve found maybe 5 since then I miss him so bad! Thank you for sharing this !🙏⚕️
Good to see a father & son out together. Something you might find useful for digging in sand or soft soil is a wooden popcycle stick. They work great in the type of situation your working in and are made from soft wood so they won't chip your artifacts. I carry several when I am out and about.
That's awesome! I guess he is all grown up now. I sure hope he's still hunting artifacts! Good job dad, for raising him right! I found 2 nearly identical Kentucky hornstone quarry blanks one time but didn't realize until recently that 2 was enough to be considered a cache. Guess I'll just have to find another one. 😊
Man this video made my day! I also hunt in Alabama and georgia can't wait for my daughter to get a little older to get time like this AMAZING find little man and AMAZING dad here guys
very cool what a incredible find a day with dad a day he won't soon forget quality family time hunting Artifacts together it cant get any better than that thanks for sharing your time in the great outdoors and your hunt with the rest of us
Oh I really enjoyed watching this! I absolutely LOVED that smile on his face!! It just warms my "Mama heart" ooooh how I wish the world was filled with Daddys like you, every boy deserves one like you, Oh how I wish my boys would have had one! It looks like you have done a fantastic job teaching him patience, just think, you just made a memory that will live inside Cole forever :O) Keep it up!
You go COLE!!!!!! So glad to see you took your time!!!! a Cache is an awesome find!!!!!!! So glad I got to meet you!!! a small toothbrush will become a great asset to use and it fits in your pocket
That's Awesome congrats . I love getting out in the outdoors to look for artifacts , good for kids also good exercise , good memories and gets them off the video games . Congrats
Just to help out....it is spelled cache and pronounced just like 'cash'. Great bonding experience for you and your son. It was the same with my brother and I. Due to the age difference, we were never close growing up, but once we were adults, you could find us digging for arrowheads in our spare time, almost 30 years up till his death. Great memories!
This video jus made me a subscriber. I'm a single parent and my 9yr old daughter goes artifact hunting with me when I go. Loved seeing your son and you sharing this experience. I love that Tallahatta... We're in Florida, just off the glorious Suwannee river... Deep in the heart of Indian country. Congrats on the finds little man.
Great find for the little man, that's some sandy soil there. Only had one spot that was that much sand and it was in Dallas county,County, I hunt in Bama as well.
I See many commentators saying they are forms but, I see one that was used to shape and straighten the arrow shafts a hand axe and a tomahawk head. Fabulous guys congrats
Nice stuff guys, those are pre-forms. Indians would make these and flake them as needed. I can not believe that ANYONE has ANYTHING negative to say. Just like my coach told me, if you don't have haters, then you are not doing it right! LOL
mo.headhunter Miller Thank you. He is about grown now and isnt interested in playing in no dirt. But i was darn nice to have this day and get it recorded
Congrats to you and your son ! I enjoy hunting with my son to and would rather he finds something than me most of the time anyway! lol Best of luck to you both in the upcoming year!
My gut tells me that if you're finding any other artifacts at that depth, then they obviously didn't bury those blades for future use. They were just stacked on the ground. Everything ends up being buried under dirt eventually.
Nice vid but you mean "Cache" Good find for that little man btw!!! I've only found three preforms in 20yrs digging . That's what you men found,, beautiful preforms.
yeah I put up a whole slandering video about it, it's on my channel, put it up a week or do ago, we're not going to be called things we are not, by anyone & stand for it..!!
many diggers are spiritual people who don't deserve the graverobber and blind plunderer baggage. who else but a grave robber would be out digging holes...? A beautiful spirit who wishes to make contact and admire an age of splendor.
These look like unfinished bifaces to me, knapped down to a rough shape to be finished and refined later on. I'll bet whoever buried them was pretty mad about not being able to come back for them-- I knap too, and as fun as it is, it's still a lot of work and the materials can be hard to come by! Quite a find!
In the UA-cam video, where you're hunting for artifacts with Michael J on lil island, would that of been in southwest Louisiana.. anywhere close to the Calcasieu? Big fan thanks for posting!!
In Oklahoma if you get caught digging arrowheads you get some shiny bracelets and a massive fine. Only place you can dig is on your own property. Those are all just performs.
Please show your son the safer way to dig around found artifacts use a sharpened wooded dowl or pointed plastic item don't use your fingers unless you want sliced to the bone from chert razor sharp shards
I just dig in places where I have already found arrowheads or flint chips. They often camped on hill tops close to a creek. I look in those type spots. If I am finding flint chips I just keep going until I find the arrowheads
Or, Think like a indian 10,000 years ago . You would want to have sun , water and out of prevailing winds , I have 2 spots only i know about and thats just how I found them , But most important , Go out and look , Good luck
"just take your time son, we've got all day"
Warmed my soul with that one. Life lessons and memories to boot
The spear points are nice but the value time with your son is priceless.

One lucky boy there. To find a cache of very old Indian artifacts. Might have been a young warrior's cache.
Clean wholesome fun. Digging with Dad

many diggers are spiritual people who don't deserve the graverobber and blind plunderer baggage. who else but a grave robber would be out digging holes...? A beautiful spirit who wishes to make contact and admire an age of splendor.
What a lucky kid
@Ashley .... thanks. We might do that
Nice find little buddy now you're hooked I'll bet keep it up maybe one day we get together on a dig and my 10 and 12 year old boy could dig with you
These look like unfinished bifaces to me, knapped down to a rough shape to be finished and refined later on. I'll bet whoever buried them was pretty mad about not being able to come back for them-- I knap too, and as fun as it is, it's still a lot of work and the materials can be hard to come by! Great dad
They seemed to be premade and werent fully made for the spear or arrow but i believe you said that at the end of the viddo
How do you find spots to do this kind of stuff it looks awesome
Cache is pronounced like "cash". But dang if that isn't awesome. I wish me and dad went artifact hunting growing up
I love bring my son out digging with me, when I get back to America plan on doing many father and son hunts
In the UA-cam video, where you're hunting for artifacts with Michael J on lil island, would that of been in southwest Louisiana.. anywhere close to the Calcasieu? Big fan thanks for posting!!
+Trent Gremillion yes that was on a small island you must know the spot.
looks like blanks lost while in heat treating process
COOL!!!
way to go Cole
Great find guys..Screw the haters
Awesome! Go GATORS 🐊
In Oklahoma if you get caught digging arrowheads you get some shiny bracelets and a massive fine. Only place you can dig is on your own property. Those are all just performs.
There are effigies carved into those!
well done
Imagine the person that made that .
Awesome to see he is hooked for good, git a little stick there ya go, he'll have a bister on his finger
Those aren’t blanks. Those were ceremonial. Look at them, they’re shaped as Indian chiefs with headdresses.
Use the First one to dig out the rest .
for the rest of he's life
The correct pronunciation for CACHE is CASH. It is where we get the word for money.
How deep off the surface?
No knife to dig with??? Way to go there Little man!
how do u know where to dig?
i did the same as a 10 year old and its never left me.
cashe pronounced cash
And spelled cache.
+dyna mike lmao I know right!!! lmao fuckn all these wanabe teachers that are 9th grade dropouts...lol
Woohoo
Great find! Did you try digging farther back in that area? Looks like might be the edge of a cache.
Oh yes. We dug that whole hill top up! :-)
That boy is a digger.good find.
Please show your son the safer way to dig around found artifacts use a sharpened wooded dowl or pointed plastic item don't use your fingers unless you want sliced to the bone from chert razor sharp shards
i was wondering, how do you know where to find a good place to dig? is there signs or something you look for in the landscape?
I just dig in places where I have already found arrowheads or flint chips. They often camped on hill tops close to a creek. I look in those type spots. If I am finding flint chips I just keep going until I find the arrowheads
Ok thanks
Or, Think like a indian 10,000 years ago . You would want to have sun , water and out of prevailing winds , I have 2 spots only i know about and thats just how I found them , But most important , Go out and look , Good luck
