I remember watching Garrett Reynolds when I was like 14 or 15 years old. I can't believe he is still competing at the top level 15 years later.... just wow....
We all have sinned, and have broken God’s law (The Ten Commandments). Wrong doing deserves justice and must be punished (just like how a criminal has to pay for the crime they have committed) but God saved us from the eternal punishment of our sins by sending His Son Jesus Christ to pay the penalty for us, so that we may have everlasting life. Now for you to accept the free gift of grace, you must repent of your sins and put your faith in Jesus Christ and you will you be saved from eternal punishment, and be given everlasting life. By faith you will receive the Holy Spirit and He will transform your heart and clean you from the inside out. Turn away from sin, read Bible, pray for Jesus to reveal Himself to you and change you, seek to do what is right according to the Bible. Much love and God bless.
The line up was stacked. The only other riders I would have like to see are Dennis Enarson and Matt Ray. Boyd reminds me of Enarson. Similar styles and even look alike a bit. ❤
XGAMES, if you see this... I grew up watching xgames, BMX park was always my favorite event. but the Parks having to cater to skateboards AND bmx really makes it difficult for the bike riders.. I understand budgets may be tight, and skateboarders and Bmx riders have to ride the same course, but BMX park has been suffering the passed 3 or 4 years, specifically because of the course designs, if we want to TRULY progress each sport, some disciplines need their own course.. bmx park has its own course, skateboard park has its own course.. now designing a bmx street/skateboard street course is WAY more realistic.... but the BMX PARK riders NEED BIGGER RAMPS...... thanks in advance xgames, always watching every year for nearly 20 years
the main point I wanted to make was, BMX STREET is becoming the best bmx competition, when for many many years BMX PARK was far ahead of any other event, imo.. I know skateboarding is very popular but still.... if the Skaters need their own park, make them one, and make the bmx park with bigger ramps because bmx freestyle needs bigger ramps to progress. PEACE AND LOVE XGAMES 🙏

What a FANTASTIC contest this was!!! Everyone rode great and brought their A game, was fun to see Reynolds pull out a medal run after falling on the first and for Courage to get silver too. Boyd KILLED it. Peraza’s first run was definitely underscored but I think the podium was 💯 Can’t wait for summer X
I can't wait for July, gonna be hot a shell in AZ, but can't wait to watch more X Games. I want to see Peraza get a freaking gold. He is so dang good but keeps getting beat. Sick contests every time
Your all such talented riders that was amazing just to see, congratulations to all the riders envolved it looked like a great time shredding in Japan for X Games 2023. Congrats to Boyd Hilder who took home the gold with two very amazing runs. I enjoyed just getting to see it all thanks alot.🔥😎😁
Met Kevin one day down at Linda Vista. I was skating and he was there just goofing about (at least that's what it seemed like, maybe he was getting warmed up to hit the streets). Nicest dude to just randomly get an opportunity to interact with. Wasn't until later, after I posted a clip of him that I had inadvertently filmed while trying to catch the trick I was trying, that I found out who he was and a friend in the bmx world messaged me with something along the lines of "Kevin is the best! Tell him I said what's up!"
Bit of a newbie to street BMX here, can anyone explain to me why Peraza's first run was 'only' 81.66? It had pace, big tricks, cool combo's and was packed with style. I'm curious about the judging criteria. Edit: even more confused after Hilders second run, yes his biggest trick was better and the trick at the end even a noobie can see is impressive, but the bulk of the run seemed a bit less impressive. Going up 3.33 is quite a leap.
One more top we use at boxing that will make your wrists like 'concrete'is to hang isometrically from a pull up bar daily for 1' with 1' rest after every set for three sets totally!
Wish I could watch this but everytime I click on it it either freezes right when boud starts pedaling or just a black screen I've restarted the app a bunch of times and still nothing
Too bad they only had 2 runs, this looks like a pretty fun course for some tech lines, also judges were a little low on Devon and Felix's runs but oh well, everyone killed it
Does this video (and some of the other uploads from the X-Games this year) have some weird buffering/lag thing going on? I been having it happen on different videos on different devices and on different internet connections, anyone else? :/
As a freestyler from 1985...are all of these bikes completely without brakes of any kind? And, are you required to compete with these brakeless versions? Impressive skills. The range and variety of tricks just blows my era away.
I’ll preface it by saying the skill level is unreal, the progression of this sport over the past decade is beautiful. However, is it just me or did the xgames of the early 2010’s not have packed venues full of spectators? Is the sun setting on xtreme sports?
As someone who intermittently gets into watching BMX and skateboarding, I think it's a similar issue that basketball dunk contests have. Yes, athletes keep getting better and pushing the limits, but that gets harder to notice to just a casual fan. It might be exponentially harder to go from a 95 to a 96 than it did to get from a 90 to a 95 because you're really pushing the limits of what's realistically possible...but to Joe Blow that's not going to be really apparent. As the novelty of seeing the absurd things these people can do on a bike, board, or dunking a ball wears off, you're left with tricks that while absurdly difficult and envelope pushing...aren't as distinctive to a less invested fan base. They've seen something similar so some of the wow factor is gone.
AMAZING how on point Scotty is on the commentary, unbelievable. Scotty never stops blessing the fans; his riding, youtube channel, and now live commentary. we love @scottycranmer
Congrats to all the winners but what bout Matt Rays runs in the past years… he was using the parks set ups on the course but was scored low cuz it was considered transition, even Scotty would point it out… Boyd killed it of course but the quarter to wall bar/whip come on… a bank to Wally yeah but idk
@@formulaic78 Not even just different sports, completely different events. I'm not sure if there's anyone else yet who has medals in both summer and winter events. It was mental to see someone in their prime competing at that high a level in both skateboard and snowboard simultaneously.

it sucks seeing the stands so empty at xgames these days it’s been like that for awhile i know but i remember going to a couple xgames in 98 and i think 01 or 02 maybe 2000 but it was sooo packed it was a serious event back in those early days sucks seeing how times have changed and everyone just streams it or watches it from home and shot back in 98 you actually wanted to go there and be outside nobody wants to get off the internet and go outside nowadays 🤦♂️
I’m pumped that they bring Scotty in for commentary! He does such a great job and I love seeing him staying involved 🤌🏼
100% agree
Thank you for the kind words!

same, I would have been stoked if he got gold and beat the all-time record, but from the very beginning I knew Boyd was taking this one lol
Hes the tom brady of bmx lol
It makes me happy seeing these guys smile in the middle of the competition when they land a big trick! They are having a blast out there.
Boyd's wall ride in the beginning was nuts
Ya that was crazy
🙏🏾
KPs run was under rated
true
forreal

For sure. He kept the speed up, and had both big and technical difficult tricks
Seriously 😒
Kevin Peraza is the axell Hodges of BMX. Always smiling throwing down big tricks with the boys.
Felix got a bit robbed with that first run for sure. Boyd killed it!!
True.
Wall ride on the pagoda was the best bit, and it was right at the start 😄

yes Devon is shocked too.we can see it
Bingo!
The lineup was so stacked. You literally cant ranks these guys. All goats in their own right. Stoked for Boyd!
💯

real talk 😆
that's much better than the skate street contest........riders personality, trick variation, cameradery, commentary
Peraza's 1st run felt a bit underscored, but I think they got the podium 100%. Cool to see some new faces! Courage Adams was my favorite.
Agreed about Perazas first run, total BS scoring
Totally agree, Peraza's score has been nerfed
The very best run deserved the win! Finally a hardcore street run! And a big hooray to Courage Adams, getting the place he deserves in BMX! 🤙🤙

Felix was done so dirty here
Always. He's such a beast and always gets played.
Crazy to see someone set the first run SO high, that was a great competition. Hope Broc's okay
Glad to see Courage Adams get a medal, great gold by Boyd, that wall ride to whip was crazy
I can imagine when I was young and skating bymyself there was such a hype and much more people witnessing XGames 😢
Kevin deserved at least 87.0 on his first run
Love to see scotty commentating, he is such an inspiration and great hooman❤❤
Boyd killed it! Damm that run was flawless
The judges underscored Boyd's first run so hard that everyone else's score was cut by 5 points to compensate
I had Boyd, Kevin, and Felix in the top three. Nice course this year, too bad the time was cut short due to weather.
Yeah same here.
Felix fell
They all killed it! So awesome to see them ride like this
