Ok now I know for a fact these trailers are being incredibly minimalist because there is no way it’s just bonus damage to shields.
They are just teasers, there has to be alot more to them that is kept a surprise.
The enemies explodes in strand void and solar partikels

Honestly, hoping it has intrinsic Barrier at least. Heavy Trace Arbalest looking especially mid
@MXG2809 still gonna have a ton of competition. Plenty of weapons - including Arby - just do it better, and to that fact why waste an exotic AND heavy slot when radiant literally exists?
@MXG2809It having anti barrier wouldn't make it OP at all. Not even remotely close.
why when wishender exist lol
Its exotic perk is, hurts shields good..?
just asked myself the same thing but maybe it'll pair good with another exotic armor piece they add??? idk tho
There has to be more. I thought the beam would make traveler terraformations that heal players, give more ability energy and damage targets in them.
Warned y’all not to preorder yet
like every exotic weapon in the game, it has an intrinsic and a special perk. the perk is likely still in development or we didn't notice it in the video
I guess it's a trace rifle version of Arbalest.

Who approved this trailer? Who in their right mind thought "Does Massive Damage to Shields" would get people hyped for the expansion?
Between the underwhelming and limited exotic choices available for the Prismatic subclass, the subpar looking exotics and the nerfs; this last week has killed any little hype Bungie managed to generate for me tbh
The same people who gave the description for athrys's embrace as "heavy knives gain an extra bounce". In the trailer they failed to mention the massive damage bonus, the unstop stun and the busted aim assist.
@@bofa722 honestly yeah, somehow they killed the hype from their prismatic trailer. These exotics aren’t looking exotic at all. If this is the “travelers beam” damaging shields is a bs perk. Why not make it cool and powerful!! Grant it we probably don’t know the rest of its perks but even so they need to HYPE the community up. So far I’m just disappointed even if it’s just in their marketing team alone.
@@bofa722 there is far more buffs than nerf at least 3x
@@bootlegbison3758 true but statement would still stand this doesn’t hype a community up. Just poor marketing which also makes you lose a bit of moral. The nerfs mentioned yesterday also don’t help when people are looking to be excited for the next big thing meta-wise.

Cenotaph dps 🔥🔥
If you pay attention, the gun changes elements, it was dealing both Void and Strand dmg!
I just rewatched it and you are absolutely right and at the end it deals solar damage to the taken hydra
I think that means that the traveller's light isn't just arc, void and solar but it also contains stasis and strand, which means that light and dark are the same force and these elements are part of that force.
@@jadenyuki2031Either that or we are channeling our own power into the weapon.

Literally straight beaming of the light out from it…yea I like it 👍
The damage numbers for a heavy trace will be interesting
Its either gonna be broken or completely useless
I really hope this weapon is its own element. Be the first "light" element. Please. Or at the very least Prismatic. It has multiple shots in this video where it has different element disintegrations.
Its kinetic damage
it looks to be void which makes me very disappointed, doesn’t make sense canonically, it should just be pure light or kinetic
@raiden_tt it's Strand at one point in the trailer also, seems to adapt to the damage of the super the guardian uses, like tesselation
@@SirScrumply yeah just seen that, would’ve been cool if it was just pure light, so idk how strand and stasis makes any sense in there
@@raiden_tt It's based on the traveler beam from the lightfall cinematic.
Ok, reviewing the footage, I think I noticed something.
The rifle's damage after effect seems to change. At 0:06 it seems to be void. But then at 0:09 it looks closer to stasis and 0:11 it leaves behind a strand effect and at 0:14 seems to trigger a pseudo Ignition.
My guess is that it might be a Prismatic gun like Tessellation and changes damage based on our Super. We might also get an Ager's like effect to consume it and trigger continuous debuffs on Fire.
See how enemies die to different elements? I guess it just shoots all elements at once.
anyways im sure bungie is not telling us everything about these exotics in the recent trailers.
It kinda seems like it’s a prismatic gun in that sense
@@ethan2286 it is a laser gun so I suppose it'd be thematically fitting
@@bofa722 It's also based on the traveler beam. It's supposed to be a big heavy traveler beam trace rifle.
@@Achroon1it’s probably going to be similar to tesselatjon, with it’s element changing depending on subclass
man, adaptive munitions sure has grown!
So does it match the shield types or it's just void trace rifle?
I bet it's rizzmatic
i think it matches but idk
Since it's based on the traveler beam. I'd say it'll match shields.
Right before it shoots at the Hydra, does it sound like it’s powering up a heavy shot or something, or do you think it’s post reload and that’s just the sound it makes? Or maybe even an alternate reload that shoots a higher damage beam like 1K?
It's really weird... The Taken Centurion at 0:10 disintegrated into purple Void particles, the enemies at 0:11 turned into Strand Tangles on death, and it blasts Solar energy at the Hydra at 0:14. What is this weapon???
Ok so now I’m positive that these perks that these exotic videos are highlighting are only some of the perks but not the entire thing. There is literally 0 chance that this is all that this thing does. They did the same thing with the updated class supers for the first lightfall trailer, and when everybody was underwhelmed they showcased prismatic, and I feel like this is another one of those scenarios (hopefully)
Heavy trace finally 🙌
Based on the traveler beam too.
I wonder what damage type it is as it created a tangle and created a stasis duskfield at the end
Wondering if it has Tesselation type perk on it, or something like the Fundamentals perk
woah didn't expect that
Oh boy, a HEAVY trace rifle... I'm gonna have so much fun with this. What damage type is it though? 🤔
Edit: looks void to me.
It looks like it might be a void trace
Traveler damage tipe (It shot traveler's beam) 💦💦💦
Looks like it has a slightly purple hue? Maybe void? Edit: just saw your edit :)
Hey toad, now you can make a final shape raid video using this trace for a laser tag run
Probably prismatic
Lament was also "Hurt shields good" look how it turned out
It might be like tessalation and the damage type perk on it. It could be in the kinetic slot.
Bungie i need to know whos cooking up these exotics
They aint cooking there burning down the kitchen
@@slamdunk6739no dude u could call them gordon ramsey rn
There is not a single viable exotic they've shown off yet...
@@CarpetFTWI'm forced to believe that they're chosing to not reveal anything other than the core exotic traits for all of these items.
@@TheMuffinMan15 they still look boring af to use tho
So far we've seen two exotics and both have revealed absolutely nothing ground-breaking about them. One shoots bouncy bullet and one does damage to shields. Truly innovative.
doubt that's all there is to them, you can see in the vid that the trace deals void, solar and strand and different points, may be that it cycles through the different types while holding the trigger, or it might be tied to what grenade or super you have. Either way, it seems like there is more to these weapons than what bungie is showing us
So since it’s supposed to be based the travelers light beam, does that mean it’ll blow up any shield type? Like instead of having to match the shield type to your energy weapon, this gun matches all shield types?
Interesting with a taken hydra, haven’t seen one since Quira if I remember right
Starting to see advertising patterns from Forsaken. I like it.
The counter to titans. Finally RNGesus has answered our call.
Edit: I don’t care it’s heavy I just hate titans.
Its a heavy
Yeah especially for warlock and their landing strip sized exotic helmet
It uses heavy ammo.
Yeah, heavy ammo is such a consistent counter 😂
@@jackjohnson1111 Hopefully it's heavy enough to tear through the shields of titan teammates as well so that we can actually hit bosses at some point of the game.
Glad I getting this soon
From what I can figure, maybe there is a chance it has the same effect as Tessellation; where the damage type matches your subclass type. Which begs the question. Would it then adapt the subclass type of prismatic as a damage type? Unlikely, so would it then match to your grenade damage type or (and this is what I hope it would be) would it match dual types depending on the elemental type of the aspects you have equiped in your prismatic loadout?
Yooo heavy trace
A Special weapon as a Heavy, that does massive damage to shields...Why would you ever use this over Arbalest (Heavy weapon as a Special, that does massive damage to shields)? Heck, Arbalest even buffs all Kinetic damage against targets that had their shields broken by it (Disruption Break), so the only incentive is if this trace buffs _all_ damage types to enemies it shield-breaks, or if it's a Kinetic exotic in the Heavy slot. If it's neither, this is not a good look for this weapon, as something else is already doing that job (and Arbalest also has intrinsic Anti-Barrier).
What sets this apart from Arbalest?
looks like it does as much damage as the traveler's beam did which makes sense considering that's the inspo
HEAVY TRACE RIFLE LETS FKN GOOO!!!!!!!!!!
What’s the damage type?
i see void, strand, and solar explosions?? Can it switch through all the subclasses?
i wonder... if this is supposed to be the traveler beam rifle, what damage type is it? it looks like it might be stasis or void, but i see other elemental effects there too. could it be kinetic?
looks like it is all elements which is why the exotic perk is that it can destroy any shield.
@jadenyuki2031 think they'll ever put another damage type in the energy slot? like energy kinetic maybe made out of light
travelers chosen is already kinetic so idk but it's a thought
At the end it looks like an alt fire which causes the kabloomies
So… what damage type is it?
Looks big, i dig it
Would be cool if it was over the shoulder mounted death lazer
Ooo new heavy prismatic trace looks nice
Adaptive munitions for the heavy slot. WOW
Stasis, void, or arc?
The traveler beam that everyone at bungie loved, came up with bonus damage to shields…
I have a feeling that it will do something when a shield is broken like a debuff or explosion of some sort. I dont know
Small details for anyone who’s too lazy to play it back at 0.25:
- Does not do adaptive damage to shields as the shield didn’t explode as it would if it was of a matching element
- Could be subclass adaptive, maybe like tesselation? The the damage type seems to change from void to strand between cuts.
- No idea what that solar explosion is about though. It looks like it was recorded at the same time it did strand damage so it’d be weird if it was a subclass thing in retrospect.
All to say, it definitely does more than break shields good.
Isn't there an Over/Under Perk that does that?
What element is this?
ok from what i see the longer u hold it on the same target (meant for DPS it looks like) similar to target lock, it will do a massive explosion
It can change to any famage type theres void strand and solar explosions in the trailer
im still wishing for a heavy ammo six shooter. A nice and clean heavy revolver would be a dream
Watch how early on when it kills it shows void energy, but before the hydra it is strand. Matches your super element maybe?
Good catch, you're probably right
Looks to have an adaptive beam. Matches all shields automatically and then fires a heavy blast upon a certain number of crits or breKing said shield
I think it a Prismatic element weapon. I saw Void explosions, Strand explosion and I think a Solar explosion on that Hydra at the end.
It does solar, arc and void damage
Question is, is it all 3 damage simultaneously, or is it another one or those hold Reload to swap element gimmick?
Perhaps it's damage is adaptable to whatever enemy you use it on.
The more I watched this trailer and I've watched a few times cuz trace rifles are my favourite weapon type in destiny ... and the name itself and the beam colour u would hazard a guess that it'll be prasmatic or at least more then one element. Looks sick btw 👌
I can't wait to make my triple trace rifle loadout.
Does this trace rifle have an element??? Maybe it matches your super, because I saw a strand, solar, and void death.
I really hope there’s more too it than extra shield damage
Kinda reminds me of deterministic chaos, which is one of my personal favorite exotic.
I hope the catalyst makes us able to fire the true might of the traveler in the form of a prismatic beam.
Does big damage to shields, im curious what else it will do. Shooting the small enemies caused a strand debuff but when the hydra was killed it made a solar explosion. Also the beam gets bigger in some of the shots.
I believe that based on the trailer it will be able to adapt to shield element or something along those lines as in the trailer you can see it use void, strand and solar damages
Would love to see the ammo economy on this one
Makes sense lore wise, but let's hope its more than just adaptive munitions type of perk
Taken hydra?
Is this the travelers trace rifle
I was just thinking about a heavy trace rifle and now we seem to have one lol
This is precisely what I’ve been waiting for
So it'll have anti barrier... right?
This plus cenotaph is going to be interesting
Finally! A solution to the Shielded Demolitionists on Onslaught.
Heavy Arbalest with Anti-Barrier and Disruption Break?
it's gonna have something like genesis to reload mag from reserves. every exotic trace has a method to do that and it's always been related to it's exotic perk.
Let’s go! I’ve been waiting for a weapon that deals damage to enemy shields!
I was expecting some Terraforming type properties … like spreading those black vine things (like those that appear when we kill Rulk, Tormentors or Callus)
When bungie said they were turning the travellers death star beam into a gun, i was honestly expecting alot more out of it than extra shield damage.
How disappointing.
I was wondering if one of these was ever gonna he made, now I'm waiting for stasis and strand glaives
When I saw the traveller f up the witnesses pyramid I totally thought that was because it just did extra shield damage
There Is a weird explosion at 0:14 that might be a secondary effect.
heavy trace is crazy
It looks like when you kill a target, it causes a subclass “verb” like ignitions, sever, freeze etc.
Khvostov looked disappointing because it lacked any utility or support capabilities it NEEDS customization options. Microcosm should cause Broken shields to cause AoE Elemental chain reactions that also spread the debuff of said broken shield to nearby targets such as solar spreading scorch for example,That would FEEL like an Exotic Heavy
I think it would be cool that there was a heavy or special that whenever you shot red bars they become your allies for a brief time (they get possessed by the light) and try to kill any enemies in near vicinity
A new gun to add to my vault 🔥
What is the point in the exotic?
