- Hey loves! Watch me cut my own wispy, effortless bangs. I know, sounds scary right? As a disclaimer, I AM a licensed professional hairstylist so I am 100% comfortable doing this. I want to show you how I do this because I do believe that if followed closely and slowly you can totally perform this hair service at home.

Watching this rn bc I’ve been debating cutting bangs for the past month but I’m so scared to do it myself and I have a small round face and bigger jawline so I feel like they might look weird and accentuate my fat face :( also don’t know how thin or thick to go!! This is why I went into esthetics not cosmetology ahah😭
Emma Donado I can totally relate! I feel the same way about my face. I think it’s the length of the hair that will really accentuate or compliment the face shape. I alwaaaaays opt for thinner bangs no matter what the face shape. It adds a little somethin’ without overcommitting
same here, I have quite a square face and ive wanted wispy bangs for 2 years now but i am so scared they wont suit me or my face shape.
boughtmacrib4thecloset bb I have a square face shape too and after watching a lot of UA-cam videos what I’ve gathered is that curtain bangs and wispy shorterish bangs will suit our face shape. But in my case I also have a large forehead so if I would cut my bangs they would be a little longer than the usual cut for square face shapes.
Sameee I think I have a square face shape but I’m not completely sure so I’m really scared of cutting bangs and regretting it if it doesn’t suit me especially cause I have a big forehead but I also really want them

I just cut my bangs right now following you and they turned out so nice. I have type 2b hair and I’m always a little cautious of following tutorials that are apparently geared towards straighter hair but this was such a good tutorial even for my hair type. Thank you!!!

I watched several videos before I landed on yours. All the others demonstrated that "triangle" method which just doesn't work on my head. I've cut my bangs many times in my life and usually poorly. After watching your video three times and trying to copy what you did, this is the first time I have ever really liked the result.
