I am very interested in learning about the backpacking gear you would not want to be without. I am hoping to hike the Via Transilvanica when I retire in a couple of years. I have truly enjoyed your videos and want to thank you for sharing your journey on UA-cam!

Hope you could reach the 600 number as then I would be interested in your hiking background and of course also some further info about hiking gear like "no cookers with you, why", "any issue with DOWN sleeping bag" "no hiking sticks, why",... Many thanks, keep safe and based on your experience I will definitively make also the Via Transsilvanica.

You are walking on the wrong side of the road. Whenever a pedestrian is walking along the edge of a public road, he should walk on the opposite side compared to the direction of the cars or cyclists.
First and foremost, this is required by law, but if you walk on the side where drivers are coming towards you, you can see if the driver has noticed you; they can also see you if you are attentive. If you notice that the car is not moving away from the edge of the road (perhaps something is coming from the opposite direction and there isn't much space for them to swerve), you will have time to step off the road.

I do generally walk facing traffic but there are definitely times when it’s safer on the other side. For instance when there may be a shoulder on one side but not the other or when the curve of the road makes you invisible to oncoming traffic. Thanks for your concern!
