great ride...the cicadas noise is something I live with every day.....I have had that sound for 25 years in my ears and live with it....nothing can be done, but, am able to shut it down most nights for a few hours of sleep. Love your part of the world and as I age thinking about the KLX 300 to replace my gen 3 klr...little less work involved in suspension work for sag and to stiffen it up. Thanks for the tag along and look forward to the next ride with you.

Hi Phil. What you found at the corogated vat is the original site of nana glen and you were so bloody close to the old boiler. As you come down to vat it's on your left away from the creek and about a stone's throw away. Your gunna have to go back again(when it rains). Then instead of mortons rd, take the left hand option and just up the road a couple of 100m on your right is a little track that will take you the top of "Matilda hill" there you'll find the gold mine shafts dotted around the place. I think the forestry have put fences around the shafts for safety. A lot of history there mate. I downloaded a pdf book on line called "George's gold mine" it's full of the history of the area and the old railway. Thanks for another great adventure mate👍👍
Cool Neil! I figured I was close to some mining history, just didn't know which direction to head. I'll be back, Neil, to hopefully find the bigger falls and mining equipment! Great bit of history and information mate 👍
17.40 "this drum's got something to do with something". Classic bit of observation there Phil👍😂😂. Looks like someone put a couple of sticks in a cross at the start of Mortons Forest Rd as a bit of a warning. Another good reason to keep cash too. Another entertaining video mate 👍.
Phil mate, you're getting damn good at this filming lark! Your intro to this is such a draw, it's got everything an adventure rider wants and dreams about. One is hooked immediately. Clever......very clever. This is getting properly addictive stuff. At some point, you're going to have to put a 'twist' on things, but heck, you're a smart guy and you'll find a way to do it. For the time being, I (like many others) will just sit back and lap up all the great stuff you're serving us. All the best to ya//Marc
Ah thanks Marc! Just doing what I do, if it's working- awesome 😁. Love exploring, filming and seeing new places, a winning combination for me. Glad you enjoy the journey also mate 😎👍
Was near standing in the exact spot a couple of weeks ago , the walking track you were on , is a section of a 20 km plus walking trail , that stretches from way past mooned beach to around Sawtell ….its called the solitary island walk ? That little goat type track you went off near the stairs down to digger beach sure gives stunning scenery . Waiting to possibly get a rally or perhaps the 450 RlL , as a newcomer to Coffs region , got to say the area is stunning . Great video.
Another great episode Phil. On Battery Road there is a mine drive right on the edge of the road. Last time we were there, there was a large python guarding the entrance, but you can usually walk in.
Brilliant video mate love it! I own a Honda CB500X which I love to bits but it’s a bit to big and heavy for the sought of tracks you ride. The CRF 300 rally looks superbly suited to the rough tracks, It’s definitely on my radar, for a light weight bike more suitable for rough off roading.
Cheers Sean! Mate, they're great little bikes for exploring more tricky country- like places you wouldn't want to take the CB500X. Funny, I was looking at a new CBX the other day, and thought, what a great second bike for the Rally. Keep both if you can 👍
Love riding through orara, boffs rd does get better after that section you turned around at but it’s bloody rough for a bit😅it’s the entrance track to army and commando. Great vid Phil, id love to explore scouts falls🙌
Ah cheers Curtis 👍 Boffs Road looked like hard work...lol PS- As for Scouts, there's a fun run off the top past Birch Falls down into the Scouts Falls area. It's real 4WD stuff, but I did it, so it must be pretty easy 🤣
Ride map in the Description Box - enjoy 😎👍 Support the Channel - www.buymeacoffee.com/philbennettmca Cheers
I always carry cash. Never know when the eftpos or optus will be down. Great video Phil.
Wise move! I'll do the same next ride. Cheers buddy 👍
Thanks Phil great vid!
An added bonus was the wax loosening effect of the cicadas through the headphones!
🤣 noisy basrards, hey! Cheers mate 🍻
They fix the roads for the log trucks
👌👍

They're noisy little buggers! Starting to tone down here now. Cheers for watching mate 😎👍

🤣 It's those little extra details and information that make all the difference, Coobye...🤣 Cheers mate 😎👍
Awesome video mate. Loved the swimming hole. 😊
Thanks Petros 👍 Mate, needed that swims, pretty hot summer up here so far. Cheers mate 😎
Should have had that swim at Diggers , that’s one of my favourite surf beaches
I was very tempted, Andrew!
She could definitely do with some rain! Loving the adventures mate
Cheers buddy! Yep, first lot of decent rain, I'll do some waterfall hunting again 😎👍 If you wanna come, walk into one, let me know. Catch ya
That would be awesome mate! Love to come along🤙😎
Cheers Phil excellent vid 👍👍
Thanks Johnny 😎😁

Ah cool. You moved to a great region 👍. Good mix of terrain around Coffs, you'll have a ball exploring the place. Cheers mate 🍻
Cheers

Ah, cool. Definitely going back looking, plus I want to find the main falls 😎👍
Nice clip once again! Bit dry and dusty in there but I'd rather that than wet clay. Thanks for that keep em.coming please
Ah cheers John, plenty more to come- too many places I'm yet to see 😁👍
Brilliant video mate love it!

@@MidCoastAdventures Yep. I rekon the CRF 300 Rally and the CB500X (or even the new Honda “Transalp” ) would make a great set of bikes. 😎
Hi Phil
Could you put that GPS in centre ? It’s doing my OCD head in 😂
🤣🤣

@@MidCoastAdventures 😂sound pretty fun next trip to Coffs I’ll get you to show me mate👍
What falls were you looking for?.
I think they're called Nana Creek Falls. About 700 meters from where I parked the bike - apparently 👍
Do you ever get lost?
Nah, more disorientated...lol
I’ve never ever been lost! I’ve just been VERY confused sometimes …😂
