Nice! Question though as I noticed you did it a few times with Zombyra the dark, but can you flip summon an attack position monster then proceed to attack the same turn? Or is that due to the monster effect of a monster at 13:12?
Thanks! Also yes, as long as the monster wasn't first summoned that turn if you manually change its position with an effect (Book of Moon, Tsuk, Enemy Controller, etc.) you can change it and attack if you'd like. This works super well with Zombyra and Tsuk because Tsuk flipping down Zombyra resets its stats and makes it 2100 again.
So in that very certain scenario he couldn't because of my Solemn. The Torrent was chained to the effect of Breaker to gain the counter, which was Solemned which means we skip directly to the next step where I technically have turn player priority to declare Breaker's ignition effect to destroy a Spell/Trap on the field. Otherwise yeah he would be able to chain Ring to the effect to gain a counter.
@@trillivmmusic Yup! Because Solemn basically forcefully resolves the chain, we move to an open game state where I have turn player priority to use Breaker's ignition effect to remove a counter and pop a backrow. This is a suuuuuper niche application of priority though but very nice to know.
@ what would you switch it for? I find in my goat control decks and turbo chaos decks I don’t have enough monsters to just summon and attack. They’re all set monsters
@@Darnellgenard In Chaos Turbo you can take a Night Assailant out for Gorilla(s) like I did in this video, in Goat Control you can just replace it with whatever you feel like honestly
game 1 is the reason why although i in general like solemn j i think its lets say quite overrated by players who stuck to ygo but ended up in goat. yes back in earlier ygo solemn was underrated for quite some time BUT during goat times it was actually dangerous. a single solemn j most likely puts you on 4k lp left and everyones running ring, chaos has specials, one small hit and you can just be dead. so unless youre playing a more defensive deck that also needs to protect backrow / important cards i wouldnt play solemn j.
Always too greedy, you lost game 1 because that. Opponent has 4 set whatever is torrent, mirror, sakuretsu etc etc you dont get win in any scenario. Also stop moving spells or monsters from their original column it is again rules, they should remove already spellground playmat. As judge it hurt my eyes xd
I see I’m not the only one who wanted the platinum secret rare upgrades!
They look so good!!! I need to finish my collection of playables in Plat Secret hahaha.
Nice!

You can actually use ring to destroy breaker before he can pop a backrow! 33:30

@@Calvin-YGOI had no idea, so on the resolution of solemn he couldn’t go ring?

@@Calvin-YGO woww thanks for sharing! Makes sense, solemn is so powerful love it
Hi Calvin, thx for the video, great as always. One questions: how is called the brand of your playmat?
@@francescoorlandini2467 Hi thanks for watching! The brand is called Yggdrasil Materias!

You overextend your board when you could play more conservatively.

Yeah I'm not the biggest fan of Solemn, the theory was that in combination with the Gorillas it could make a simplified game state way better for me.
@@Calvin-YGO i can see that yea, solemn j is definitely a tempting card. liking the effort and videos btw, keep it up.

Yeah I didn't play well at all during these playoffs but it's all good lol.
