@@ClaireEmilia he literally sacrificed himself to save his family AND Henry. @@mariadijs946Whiteman was my second favorite character after Hillinghead, not my type, but he was such a charismatic badass antihero, I went from disliking him in pilot to rooting for him midway to the end ❤
Still don't get how Maplewood was still there in 2023 after everything changed in the end also I believe Hillinghead was the most skilled detective out of the four with very limited technology at his disposal.
Agreed about hillinghead but with time anything goes and now Elias has erased this timeline others could be created in the process thus making a new one where iris is somehow in 2023 for reasons we don’t know yet
To be fair though, Whiteman didn’t really do much investigating 😂 he was only interested in justice for the girl, he didn’t actually investigate the body much 😂 but yeah, Hillinghead had a big disadvantage and was skilled due to it.
Which is why I liked Karl. I think it is easy (and sometimes lazy) to lean hard into copaganda. He represents cunning (and survival) and his role was a great contrast to Alfred's skill, Shahara's tenacity and Iris' loyalty to the state. @@amartyaroy3754
I believe Iris was there because of the temporal displacement thing (idk what it’s called); like how Defoe showed up in 3 different time periods; maybe Mannix entered one, being 1890, Iris entered 2, 1890 and 2023, and Defoe entered a lot more. That’s just my theory tho.
He didn’t really die if u think about it. Because when shahara and elias broke the loop, everyone went back to their normal lives. So everything went back to how it was when the body never existed, meaning that whiteman dying never really happened since that happened because of the body existing. Hopefully that makes sense😭😭
Started watching because of this video - it's interesting. I'm subscribed to, like, 6 different official Netflix channels on UA-cam - and never heard about this show. It's funny and tragic how Netflix would, first, never tell anyone about a show and then cancel the show because no one watched it in the first 24 hours.
Canceled? Lol it's still listed as recently added I'm guessing jn my country. Wad really good though, I'm not really into these types of stories being a more horror type person but it definitely kept me glued. Sucks if Neflux legit canned it especially with little to no advertising.
@@KingBasieSims4 I don't know about Bodies - I was talking in general about Netflix deciding the fate of the show extremely early and cancellations basically depending only on how much clout Netflix's team brought to the shows.
The story is a paradox that can't happen because Elias cannot go back in time to become his own great grandfather which was glossed over regarding time travel.. secondly every time someone goes back and identical variation goes forward the same number of years . Therefore Elias, Defoe, Sahara, and Shira all have copies of themselves at twice the number of years from where they are and from beyond 2050s when they went back. It's important to note that when their other half goes forward in time those copies would exist outside the time fabric and not be affected when the future changes ( the bomb never goes off). Either way you can't be your own ancestor And time loops can't be resolved.
shut up and enjoy the show. I hate people like you. It's fiction for a reason. Time travel ain't real so your own "logical" take makes no sense whatsoever. Some people just love acting like smartass
No se si sea idea mia pero creo que cada detective representa una minoria distinta. • Hillinghead representa al colectivo LGBT. • Whiteman representa a los judios. • Hasan representa a la gente de color. • Maplewood representa a las personas con discapacidad movil.
It took me a minute to get it! LoL! I've no doubt there are people complaining that none of the 4 detectives is a straight, WASP male character. Some are used to that being the default in their world.
Because anyone who isn’t a straight, white guy needs to justify their presence? Fascinating take. Funny the minute media starts to look a little like the society it’s made for people think it’s a crisis and “world gone mad.” Or, Maybe it should have always looked like this?
I looked it up- rationing didn't start until 1942. That's how Weissmann was able to buy sweets and "luxury" foodstuffs in the market
Loved DS Whiteman character. ❤
I was intrigued from start to end as everything slowly unravelled, great series
Definitely one of the best TV series I've seen lately. Bravo, Netflix.
For me too. The heart-pounding ending earns its place among the sci-fi TV classics.
Hillinghead is my absolute favorite. By far the best detective of them all, too. Not to mention, the actor (Kyle Sollner) is so handsome, I can’t-
Haha not for me, Whiteman is my absolute favourite, sooo fine as well😍
No! Hillinghead cheated on his wife and betrayed his family

DS Whiteman stole the series. Wish he wouldn’t have died. He was the most badass and fearless

Ikr they are ridiculous. They did the same with the OA, the innocence and sense 8. At least the sense 8 fans demand an ending and got it
