Early on in this video, the chap says "and Best of all, it sounds wonderful" .... why then do we have to have the music over the sound of the engine .... let's just listen to the car, please. There is too much music in these sort of videos.
I have a 2014 N430 manual and I will never ever tire of taking it out…even if it’s only to the shops! I’m not sure there is any other money/performance ratio car that beats it! And the sound of that V8 between 4000 and 7000 rpm!
The VH Platform on which all Astons from this era are built, was originally developed by Lotus. They’re known for building some of the best handling chassis ever made. Weight distribution is even and you find double wishbone suspension in all four corners. (The new double wish bone front axle is something the new 992 GT3 gets praised for currently as no 911 ever had it before). This superior chassis is the reason why Aston Martin won everything in the early 2000‘s in long distance racing including Le Mans also besing Porsches. On Top Gear the DBS went around the track quicker then the Zonda.
Twin plate clutch fixes the shortcomings of the Sportshift system which uses a heavy archaic single plate clutch. I think it's a great system once you've learnt it. Nice video. 👍
Lovely video. Great job with the videography, plus a spot-on assessment of the car. What it is and what it isn't. As a long time owner I highly recommend getting in a manual. Even more fun. But well done!
Great video and content. I have owned 3 VH era Vantage's, an original manual 4.3 then a 12S and now a 8S, I think the * remains the high water mark, sound is awesome and the weight is perth for mountain roads, where the 12S is great in a straight line the 8 is quicker through mountains with less weight over the front axle. Fun cars indeed and nobody hates on you.
Interesting. I may be looking to buy one in the next year or so. Naturally i have been looking towards the 12S (I think a manual is out of reach) but I have heard a few say the 8S or N430 is the better drivers car
@@redlinemagazine hehe, well I am pretty much obsessed with this car (and planning to buy one in the near future). When it’s put in a calm and aesthetic video like this, then yes, I could literally watch for hours 😅

I've wanted one for ages, finally got my own V8VS Roadster and it is everything I hoped for and more
One of my all time favourite cars!

Nice video. 👍
Agreed! So many people complain about it, mine has the Sportshift II, and I've learned to love it
Came for the Aston, stayed for the incredibly polished video! And the Aston. And the video. And the Aston. 🤩🤩🤩
Thank you! We’re happy you like the video so much!

awesome video, views are insane 👌🏾
Bond.... James bond...
Shaken not stirred 😏
Going to be really sad when they kill off these engines and all we get are electric blender sounds.
Hopefully e-fuels will save engines like this!
If economy cars could be electric and sports cars could remain with their respective combustion engines, I would be fine with that
Beautiful video and beautiful car. Could probably watch hours of this!
Thank you! We’re really pleased you like it so much 😁

Great vid mate and a brilliant day with you and Dom
I want one, beautiful car.
Another great video as always
Thank you!
Fantastic video, this is was the cars were built for 👍
Thank you!
Exhaust has been manipulated/replaced. Too much bass in the exhaust note. OEM standard setup sounds so much better.
