If you hit record on the app on your phone and not on the controller it won't beep. Most people that have done reviews on these have not discovered this. You can toggle recording both either on your phone screen or on the controller.
I still have my syma x5 but a quad of this size flying that high would make me a little nervous only because I had a couple of them fly away, nice job Ryan.
This thing is/was available from Amazon as the "TENSSENX GPS Drone with 1080P HD Camera" - not sure of the original Chinese maker of these re-brands. The GPS Quad that used to be sold by HolyStone as the HS100 GPS drone ( pretty well a Syma X8 with GPS and a tiltable from the Tx camera) was a re-brand of the SJRC S70W so maybe these are also from SJRC? The SJRC S70W was also sold in the US under other re-brand labels - Promark Shadow 70w was 1 of them. Brushed motor GPS quads are not really a good idea. Stick with brushless for GPS stuff and Syma X5C type brushed cheapies for learning and just plain backyard fun. 😊
I agree, brushed gps quads are never going to be used for anything except goofing around. While Holy Stone does rebrand stuff most of their quads, especially the brushless ones, are original to HS
Hey Ryan 👋🏻 Your right, this is classic syma x-5, which were awesome little drones! I like that this is a tad smaller and more compact. 1080x25fps liked good to me on your WiFi feed too. Now, to find out what this little baby costs… As always man great review. Thanks for checking those two features, even though one wasn’t working! Take care brother!👊🏼💯😎
Looks like a cool drone for us beginners but I dont like that it films the blades. Any way to set the camera up to no record those or will it have to be cut out with editing software? Im just getting interested but haven't seen that before.
You can aim the camera downwards a bit and then it won't see the blades. Honestly, just save a bit more money and buy a DJI Mini 2 SE. For $320 you'll be so thankful.
So, because the batteries are charged in the drone, you get 30 mins of flight time and then you can't use it for a few hours while you recharge the batteries?
This thing scares the crap out of me when I push return to home it goes higher than I've had it. And I don't have much control over the drone at that point kind of freaks me
that's because when you press RTH the drone raises up to the preset RTH return altitude. This is normal. You can adjust that height in the app settings. It does this so it doesn't hit a tree or house or any tall object while flying back to home.
Thank you! Cheers! Out of all the features the GPS the app is a little wonky.but I have the TSRC VERSION. EXACTLY THE SAME EXCEPT IT HAS A DIGITAL SCREEN ON THE REMOTE
It's good if you can get the bloody thing calibrated! Trip to the park, twenty minutes of trying to get the calibration sorted. Sometimes it works, most times not. Ten minutes flying time per battery (but you will have burned through one trying to calibrate) and back home. Terrible experience. Can't charge the batteries outside of the drone and the controller runs down very quickly too. Video quality is terrible. A very, very disappointing drone.
I had no issues calibrating it but I believe you. Remember this is a toy. It isn't going to fly long or take good video though they definitely should have made it possible to change the battery outside of the drone. TVs was a dumb decision and it's very rare to see a drone charge the battery with it inserted in the drone though that's how the DJI Mini's charge which is the drone I would recommend you buy next. They make a charging cradle for their batteries as well

You always do a thorough comprehensive review Ryan. That's not a bad little park flyer. 👍
Thanks Marcus! I agree. At the right price this one would be great for a first drone.
Hey buddy, thanks for this RC Drone video.
Please keep up the good work fella.
Massive 👍's up!
Thanks!!
Decent little drone. I agree it does remind me of the X5. Also you’re right about that beeping that would drive me insane
Thanks! Yes it is a great little flyer just way overpriced.
@@RDsRCReviews I didn’t even check the price but assumed it was going to be pricey
@@Van_City as is the case with all the Amazon drones lol

The X5C is a classic!

Yes, it is like a slightly smaller X5C but with GPS. It flies great but unfortunately it is overpriced at $130.
@@RDsRCReviews 😧😮 yes I agree , that sounds a bit steep!
Maybe like $80 tops👍🏻

The Holy Stone H110D was my very first drone 😊

Correct but you want the drone and motors to cool down after that much flying so it's fine. The brushed motors will burn out much faster from heat
Flight time is actually 10 minutes per battery.

Have to make sure the props are in the right place.
