That was awesome! Seems like everything was timed perfectly. This seems like a great exercise to strengthen your cinematography and composition, definitely going to be giving this idea a go soon!
Very cool short. What's interesting is that many so-called film makers complain about gimbal shots, saying they're too smooth, too robotic. Yet, this scene worked because of the smoothness. If this shot was completely handheld, the bouncing camera work would've been distracting and therefore taken the audience out of the moment, especially given that there was no dialogue to focus on. So, in my opinion, this scene worked well especially because of how it was shot. Great work.
Loved it, loved it, loved it. For the first time in a long time I actually appreciated the evident 'boat sway' up and down movement caused by the user, as it seemed to fit perfectly in the movement of the characters. Good job.
Very, very well made! Color Grading is really good, framing is great, as well as camera movement. I have a few really tiny problems with the film, but overall I really enjoyed it! Id' give it a 9.1/10
Add a bit more immersive sound design and an ending that makes sense (even something as simple as getting into a sketchy/ambiguous car like an ambulance).Overall pretty cool.
came tv are great but for me there is only one problem with that one, is i use my gh4 flip out screen and on the came tv the motor is on the side of the screen so i cant use the screen, here`s a video that might help ua-cam.com/video/664rfBQiyqs/v-deo.html
I think the ending would have been a lot better if you never showed what was in the suitcase. Either she places it in the trunk and drives off or she opens the suitcase but you only see her facial expression.
Sir , we are also making short film, but we are not getting that type of suitcase, how can we get that suitcase and where I can get... Please help us sir
Since he was using a manual lens, he wasn't using Autofocus for the video. thus requiring a 2nd person "Pulling" focus to make sure what you want to be in focus is in focus. many different ways to do this. But he didn't do that, meaning rather than shooting at a low aperture of F4 or so, he probably shot around F8 to F12 or even higher. Higher the number, more the aperture of the lens(kinda like the ires of your eye) closes, making the video darker, but also making a lot more in focus. at F4 you let in a lot more light, and less will be in focus giving you a depth of field. A lot of this you can google.
Firstpo jkh Your phone is capable of shooting everything on AUTO, but it won’t look this good. Why? Because a machine can’t independently make the creative, artistic decisions necessary to create such beautifully crafted video, and to wish for otherwise undermines the technical ability and knowledge of the individuals that create this kind of art.
Firstpo jkh I'm sorry guy that I have to be the one to say it, but you don't know what you're talking about. If you really love film, study it and strive for the top, otherwise you might be better off in a different field of work.

hii thnx for watching! Gear Used: lumix GH4, Samyang 12mm Cine, Beholder ds1 i stopped down the lens to t.16 and focus to infinity but i had some missed focus. after some takes we found the sweet spot and it was locked
it could not have been more lucky and perfect for those birds to fly across frame at the right time
that's what i thought hahaha
i honsetly dont think so but i might be wrong
They were definitely added in post
Either way, a really nice short film!
Obvious CGI
This is golden. The lights, the location, the camera moves, everything is perfect. However, I think you messed up with the ending!

the color crading is the real highlight! Awesome work. (and of course the birds and the timing :D)
Pretty good apart from the ending was abit anti - climatic. All that perfect synchronisation for that poor ending not worth it.
I really love the color grading
greetings from india. which cam you guys used?
You have grown
I was reading a blog you but on Quora and you have grown
You did a really good job with this! I have an assignment like this due on Tuesday, but I have no idea what to do for it :/

vic kris how easy is the set up for your gimbal and price,, will you get the gh5 and does your gumbal support the sigma lens with metabones adapter
Yeah its pretty easy, and it can take the weight of dslr+ lens, so it can handle gh5 plus the adopter and the sigma glass..

Did you have someone pulling focus or just a really high aperture?
i wish but thats high aperture,
