Couldn't agree more! I love this game. And now that I finished it I am starting on building a cool base waiting on more content.
This game is fucking awesome and such a huge surprise for me. Never have I played a game where so often I set out on a task as simple as going to gather a common material and then spending 3 hours dungeon diving, exploring and digging through mountains.....yes....digging through motherfucking mountains. Looks great, feels great, combat is fun, not too hard but not too easy and the base building is a blast. It's not without some critiques but goddamn I love this game. 25 hours in after about a week and I feel like I've barely touched the surface of this game. Just hit lvl 8 and not even sure I have 1/4 of the map opened up yet. Brilliant game, bought for $25 while laughing at doofuses shelling out $70 for Skull and Bones.
Right! I was almost one of those doofuses though.
Absolutely agree, like Valheim few years back, this thing feels extremely well done and polished for an early access title. So far I have more than 150h in game and it hasn't crashed on me or I haven't found a single game breaking bug, yet at least. Also it's pretty decent that you can play it with more than traditional 4 players, so even bigger groups can still co-op the game.
Thanks for sharing!
Buy it! Its the most beautiful game I've ever played.
Word!
I would have bought the game but unfortunately it's not yet perfectly optimized and I will most likely encounter stutters and fps drops on my setup (based on the tests people've done, even newer graphic cards don't provide ideal performance). But it's definitely on my wishlist and the more I look at it the more I want it.
In regards to replayability, personally I believe that good end-game content is also important. I like knowing that all the leveling, armor/weapon farming etc. weren't for nothing. End-game content is where most games fail unfortunately and try to prolong gameplay by making the grind insuffarable but ultimately worthless (since no meaningful end-game).
Completely agree with the end-game experiences of games.
Even playing the little demo with the huge lag spikes, I had a feeling Enshrouded was gonna be a fun game. I am really enjoying the game with some buddies of mine. It's beautiful and definitely tries to offer a lot of different playstyles.
Thanks for being here!
Great title and a must have in my extensive library 👍🏾
Hope you enjoy it!
I'm glad it's not procedural. Procedural always feels soulless & lifeless. A smaller hand crafted world is always preferable to me.
Regarding replay value, there are so many new games constantly on the horizon, how many do people actually play through more than once anyway? I think it's fair to say that the majority of folks never even finish most of their games. I don't see the point in wanting endless replayability in a dull and lifeless world, rather than one playthrough in something that had character.
I'm really enjoying my time in Enshrouded so far.
The biggest argument for something being procedural is not having it end, but I completely understand your point. Just hate to give up "good" games.
