Honestly I tried this game and its just not that good, pal world is far more engaging and enshrouded is so pixelated the graphics suck. Its honestly a downgraded Conan Exiles since you cant even be nude.

The answer is it DOES pull from the boxes in your base, but you need the MAGIC Chest. They glow blue, it takes one of the regular chests to make a magic chest, usually its a shroud spore and shroud liquid or something similar. its very easy to make the small ones. The medium MAGIC chests require goo (from the alchemist) and lumber wood from the carpenter.
Im glad you said something. Bought and started playing it last night. Built my first chest, put all my items in it, went to craft and saw i didnt have access to any items, then shut the game off.
Theres certain QOL features that are a must, and this is one for me lol

Funnily enough i'm the exact opposite. Palworld is my co-op with friends game, but enshrouded is the me time. Two great games really.
There weren't a lot of survival games carrying the genre. You had the OGs, then you had Ark whether you hated it or loved it, Conan Exiles, and some others. Now we have Valheim, Palworld, and Enshrouded. Survival games are popping off.
Not to mention Grounded, Icarus, Smallland, Sunken, etc

2024 has absolutely been the year survival crafting games. Started playing Enshrouded with some friends and have been having an absolute blast!

Specially the Stamina System, your house/base comfort increases your stamina buffs, this is GENIAL.
I think both of them have different audiences
Enshrouded is a Fantasy Survival Game ... Palworld is a Pocket Monster Survival Game
Enshrouded have skills tree: Mage, Warrior, Ladino... and all combinations
Palword have the Pals
Enshrouded have an interesting Lore about human Greed and ingenuity can bring death and suffering.
Also, how humans can do everything to keep trying to survive .. the Doom.
If you read the notes in some destroyed villages, you understand that people tried to live.
The stamina/comfort system is very similar to Valheim
Enshrouded also has extremely bad combat though.

Don't get me wrong I'm still playing it cause not much else around but yeah.. the combat is pure ass.
Grounded also has comfort buffs, so I think this is the new trend.
I liked enshrouded at first but after awhile it gets really boring. Building is awesome, combat is bad/easy, quest are repetitive. Finished it in 50h and I dont feel im gonna play it again, low replayability. In Valheim at least the map was different each time.

But as I'm sure many are aware, early access generally means that's pretty much how the game will stay for the most part.
The roadmap for the game doesn't look like it's going to add much except pvp and more pals, which will still leave the game very bare bones.
To be fair I played it and had fun, there just wasn't much there and that's not likely to change.
Enshrouded is absolutely incredible. I've got like 20 hours in 5 days, which is a lot for me. Glad more people are checking this gem out considering palworld came out at basically the same time.

Great video! Enshrouded has been scratching a vert particular itch for me. It's the best game I've played since Elder Scrolls. And the fact that it is THIS polished in Early Access baffles my mind. 150 hours in, level 27 and not ONE single hick-up whatsoever. I recommend this one, guys.
I disagree that it is more addicting but Enshrouded is an awesome game and feels more polished. I hope someone makes a Palworld MOD for Enshrouded. The leveling, voxel building mechanics, and visual assets are much better.

I was one of those people that was kinda salty about Palworld, so I didn't play it when it first came out. I was also very vocal about it too.
I started playin Enshrouded and everyone around me was playing Palworld... so I caved in, reluctant, and can't even remember what Enshrouded was about. Palworld is just too much fun.
You can bet your sweet biscuits I'll watch Fruit & the gang play Enshrouded whenever that time returns to us.

the chests that you can pull from are later in the game, however there was a patch released today that made those chests much easier to obtain! Awesome video, I agree with how great the game is so far.

I've been enjoying Enshrouded. I've been comparing Palworld to Fortnite and Enshrouded to Minecraft, each seems to have it's own appeal and style.

I checked out palworld and it was fun but was already waiting for enshrouded and as an avid open world sandbox adventure enthusiast I have to say this game is incredible for a fresh release, the building, the world, the farming, the progression, the graphics, easily my number one in its category already

Most complaints towards the game are neutralized by simply playing more of the game. The talent trees are rubbish though, pretty much the only thing stopping the game from being perfect.

I think healer is good because the passive heal is based on the amount of stat points put into intelligence
Only downside ive heard so far about Enshrouded is the Quests are single use only. So if you have 4 buddies playing the same world, you have to do all the quests together, If 3 of those buddies log off, that last solo guy cant progress any story related content because then it locks it out for everyone else on the server.
Editing top tier as always. Surprisingly great time to be a gamer with all of the surprise hits coming out!
Enshrouded Company SHOULD do a House/Base conquest.
People are building entire, Gorgeous Middle Age Castles in the Game.
Also .. its not clear in the game, but as much you build a "Cozy" Base/ House .. more the Stamina/HP buffs will last.

Played it also , explored the whole early access map, got the best loot, made a nice home, died a bunch of times. Played solo because all my friends are playing that Palworld cartoon poop and did not gave a chance to Enshrouded .
Palworld came out and my wife and I have been playing but as a rampant ADHD gamer I bought this as a side game to play while she is not up for playing palworld so I dont leave her behind lol

I have 320.7 Hrs as of this Comment in Enshrouded. A good part of thar is between Exploring, Scavaging and Building. Mainly Building. The building in this game is amazing. The Terraforming in this game is crazy. Building a Hobbit Home? Go for it. Want to make a entire Kingdom? How for it. Want an Underground Bunker or Underground City? Go for it. Want a Sky City even? Hell why not have both? Anyways... I digress. The exploration is very fun. The map is huge and every spot is Handmade! Not this procedural AI generated content. Every single item is placed with intention. Nothing is really placed just for the sake of random chance. The Lore is pretty in depth and the way the world is designed helps... Scratch that. The way the world is designed is how you learn the lore and the world around you. Through Notes, Books, Letters etc etc. The Combat is loads of fun and fluent. Very versatile. Want to be a Warrior? Sure. Want to be a Ranger? Sure go for it. Want to be a Mage Tank? Go for it. Want to mix a Warrior, Ranger and Mage hybrid? You can do that too. The world is HUGE and is planned to be expanded by a huge amount. Use tone able to see the edge of the map. After the last update though. Now you can't even see the top of the map anymore. Which before the update the map was already huge. Anyways. In short the game is amazing and it is still just Early Access. They have a Website to take feedback and suggestions straight from the players to help add content to the game. They focus highly on Player Feedback to help grow the game. Direct suggestions through a Voting system on their Website. I highly recommend this game. What do you have to honestly lose? The only big thing I can't wait for them to do is highly overhaul the optimization and graphical settings. Again planned features. They have a Roadmap for 2024 which has a whole lot of features and quality of life changes and additions. Excited to see this game continue to grow!

For me this game is just as addicting as Palworld, but for very different reasons from Palworld.
My only complaint here is lack of enemy variety, Enshrouded needs more enemy variation.
You can unlock magical boxes later with the carpenter npc.
