Nursing in Australia 🇦🇺 + can we pay our own nursing school fees as an international student?

  • Hey guys!
    I just wanted to put this out there that you must have heard from your friends, family or relatives that their kids paid their own fees and stuff, but by saying that you are clearly telling people that you've exceeded the work hour limitation on your student visa, because observation there is no way around that. Putting this on social media can be risky, and I do not encourage anyone to breach your student visa conditions. You can pay back your parents once you get the job, but please make sure that you are adhering with your student visa conditions and please don't put yourself and your visa on risk.
    Better safe than sorry
    All the best to you all
    :)

    After working out the total cost for me just to apply alone is ridiculous in NSW ($80) wwcc + ($80) ndiswc + ($410) Nursing self assessment check + CPR and First Aid ($95) + certificate III to demonstrate academic requirements ($0-$9,910) + ($3,000) for passport to prove identity for the ndiswc check grand total for me will cost ($13,575) not even including the costs of living and Nursing course unless I can get it subsidies 😭

      Finally!! somebody has brought this to attention that nursing is so expensive and honestly I'm done fighting people who claim that they can work and pay their own fees which is exactly the opposite of what they declare when they apply for student visa. This is the reason why immigration is so strict.
      Thanks for sharing all that! Honestly I've been through this and I know how hard it is. On top of that, all these checks also require updating every year or so.

    • @CinnamonBunns
      @CinnamonBunns 11 місяців тому

      @pawandeepkaur0606 that's not even including the the diplomas cost assuming I can get it subsidised, but even then, the costs alone to meet all the requirements are out of pocket no wonder Australia is having a shortage of nurses. Honestly, I wish the government would look more into the total costs and then work on those rather than just slapping the it's a subsidised course anyone can do it sticker on it because at the end of the day it's really not fixing anything its still impossible for middle wage workers to upskill and pursue a course without some help from the government. Honestly its all backwards and seems like a facade the whole government funded courses all have hidden fees 😔

    Would you suggest doing a diploma first, work as an EN full time then consider degree later after finances are more stable? I really want to take up the diploma to degree pathway but I can’t afford. Really want to aim for a PR though.

    it's 24 hours per week now and you have 2 months of vacations in a semester in which you can work full day and if you work 20hours/day one month and 15 hours/day another you can easily pay your fees of university. I did all the calcualtions from youtube resourses and many other websites.

    Hello di
    Is it necessary to take NCEXL or OSCE exam in Australia even if u have done ur bachelor of nursing in Australia.
    - and one more question
    *#If I am coming to Australia and my parents pay my fees for one semester or one year will I be able to pay my fees for next semester and my payi g expenses too without asking from my parents . Becoz my parents won't be able to pay the fee after paying once I know of that .
    PLEASE ANSWER DI
    I HAVE ONLY ASKED THIS QUESTION AFTER READING ALL THE COMMENTS IF ITS ALREADY ASKED

    • @pawandeepkaur0606
      @pawandeepkaur0606  Рік тому +1

      Hey
      If you are studying here, NCLEX won't be necessary. But the units that you will study will have exams, some are theory exams, and practical units have OSCE/like a practical exam in lab and Viva and we have to do that and pass it in order to pass the unit.
      Regarding your fees -
      If your parents are paying for your first sem, as soon as you come here, get a job, start saving, apply for credit cards, have some friends helping you, if you need a little bit of help here and there, but see some students work more hrs and save money, but they can get reported to immigration, so it's not safe for me to encourage you to work more hrs, but once you are done with first sem, you will be able to apply for PCA position in hospitals/aged care/agencies, you can make good money in that job but it's too hard to save $17,000 in 6months.. think about it.. maybe ask your parents to take a loan and then you can slowly pay them back.
      :)

      I wouldn't suggest you to do mbbs in Australia as an international student because it's way too expensive, you won't be able to show funds and/or meet the requirements as an overseas student. It's best to do nursing first, wait until you get PR and then go for mbbs so that you don't have to pay the international student fee.

      Hey,
      It really depends upon if EN is in the skilled occupation list at that time or not.
      If it is, then it depends upon what type of visas are available and if you meet the requirements, there is no promising time period for that.
      - Fees after PR is very little, don't even bother about fees after PR, you can easily pay your own fees
