- In this video, we are taking a deep dive into another iceberg which explains one of the infamous figures on the internet, WingsofRedemption
TL;DR: Jordie Jordan, aka WingsofRedemption, is a streamer who experiences extreme amounts of trolling due to his aggressive reactions towards it. He has gained a reputation of being volatile towards his friends and fans, along with being miserable with his streaming career.
Jordie Jordan, also known as WingsofRedemption or Wings, is a streamer who began his internet career as a Call of Duty commentator in October 2009. Because of how popular COD commentaries were, Jordie would quickly gain views and subscribers to the point where he was influential enough to boost other UA-camrs.
He would later get a contract with Machinima, further boosting his popularity and financial gain. He collaborated with fellow COD UA-camrs, WoodysGamertag and FPSKyle, to create the PainKiller Already Podcast, PKA for short. With all of his success, Jordie has always been targeted by trolls and harassers because of his reputation of being harsh to his fans, controversial on sensitive topics, and having an arrogant personality. Jordie would soon partake in a moment that many people cited as the beginning of his downfall.
In 2011, during a PKA episode, Jordie lambasted ProSyndicate, a highly-skilled COD Zombies player, about how being good at Zombies does not translate to being good at PVP deathmatch. This prompted Woody to pit the two together in a 1v1 deathmatch to prove who is the better player. After an intense and high-anticipated match, Syndicate would become the victor, with Jordie getting into a rageful fit. Jordie would then attempt to bribe Syndicate to throw a rematch, resulting in Jordie getting blocked and further damaging his reputation.
He would later get kicked off of PKA after he began to conflict with his co-hosts, such as flaking out of a survival trip last minute and supporting someone who sent death threats to Woody's family. He would then attempt to salvage his UA-cam channel by uploading Let's Plays and even making a video about Chris Chan; however, this effort was in vain as he would soon quit making videos.
Jordie would then start live streaming full-time because it required less effort and provided a better income; however, the nature of live streaming would allow trolls to witness Jordie's reactions in real-time.
Due to his characteristic of taking video games too seriously to the point of throwing his controller and screaming angrily, trolls have become a constant in Jordie’s streams. The trolling community would become fully established after a highlight video went viral on UA-cam where Jordie had a breakdown about being unable to afford weight loss surgery while playing Call of Duty: WWII. Jordie continues to stream today although he switched to UA-cam from Twitch after the platform removed him from their partner program.

The worst thing he's ever done was play a video game instead of going to his grandmas (who was effectively his mother because she raised him) funeral. He also did not respect her wish of taking care of her dog after she passed away. That was low, even for him.

I discovered wings last year and honestly it was strangely one of the best things to happen to me. I remember seeing the clip called "the darkest wings of redemption moment" where it showed him showing us a picture of when he was around 260 pounds at 14. I was just a little older than him at the time and I was 290. Me seeing that hit me like an absolute truck, ever since that day I woved to myself to never become someone like wings. A year later and I'm down to 205 with a much better diet than before, albeit not as consistent as when I started but eh I don't think 90 pounds is that shabby lol. Call it fate or coincidence, but I kinda have this man to thank for not improving his life, because it made me improve my own.
UPDATE:
Two months later and I kicked it back full throttle! Down to 178 freakin pounds! This is the lightest I've been since I was like, 8 years old! Thank you all for the support :) to those of y'all who also shared similar experiences to me big ups pimps
Almost 10 years ago, one of the first times I went to the gym I felt like such a failure, I said fuck this, and was going to leave for home. I went to the exit and just stood in front of the exit. Then across the street my eyes got fixated into this gigantic slob of a person coming out of the convenience store and slowly waddling along, as he was struggling to hold all the junk food he was carrying and and trying to consume simultaneously. I don't know who that angel was but seeing him made me do a 180, go back to the gym and finish my routine.
SAME HERE. Wings and my abusive fatass ex were my biggest inspirations for losing all this shitty weight. I’m down to 205 pounds at 6’1, which is nearly 70 pounds lighter than I was 2 years ago. I’m not done though, as I started doing some high intensity calisthenics. When wings ultimately dies, his self induced death will not go in vain, as he saved many people from a similar fate by broadcasting himself for us all to see.
I guess one person's damnation, can be another's salvation, at least in this case.

I can't pinpoint one single feeling I experience when I hear of each topic. It's literally a mix of pity, annoyance, amusement, anger, sadness and disgust.

Man Wings and PKA really do represent a kind of washed up part of youtube. Between Wings endless e-begging and declining health and PKA being nothing more than a low effort podcast with an aggressively bad subreddit. Webby, that iggotano guy (aka John Ranklin), Banished legion, Crown Prince, bgt were all on wings' friend list before he brushed them off just for not trying hard enough in a R6 or a CoD game. Most of the most prolific OG troll channels were at one point wings' fans but since he was (and still is) so toxic, especially at the peak of his popularity, a lot of those fans became trolls.
Webby is genuinely insane though.
Wings kicked him out of his gaming group and in "revenge" for being rejected, Webby went on to obsessively follow Wings around for over a year afterwards. Didn't matter if Wings was streaming at 1pm or 3am, Webby would be there stream sniping.

I don't like everyone leaning into him about his grandmother. Dude sounds dim most of the time but he was obviously upset and it's not like the dude has anything else to do but stream. My grandmother pretty much raised me, and if I found out she passed away I wouldn't want to see her and I'd probably want to hang out with my friends. I'd go to her funeral out of obligation to the rest of my family but It definitely isn't something that I would feel that I had to attend personally. He's done an exceptional job of cultivating a garbage personality and community, but that one hit different.
It's hard to not feel bad for Wings but I will say I've never seen anyone burn so many bridges, I started watching him and PKA around 2012 and have over the years he has slowly turned even his most dedicated supporters against him. Don't get me wrong, I still have a soft spot for him but he really has put in the work to get where he is.

It’s crazy to think how this guy rubbed elbows With the likes of keemstar at one point this guy could’ve reached the same heights that a lot of youtubers/twitch streamers have in terms of wealth and fame!!
The craziest part in Fredrick Knudsen’s documentary on him was seeing Keemstar several times before he became as big as he is now and him during the peak of his fame. It was so cinematic. As a famous comment on that video states:
“Seeing Keemstar at first was like seeing Palpatine in the prequels.”
It is so spot on, as his final appearance on the documentary, he was full on Emperor Palpatine. Gnome beard and all. Life is art, sometimes.

The thing about wingsofredemption being FPS Kyle might refer to when Wings said that he was FPS Russia. It was back in the day before Kyle showed his face and only did gameplay videos. Wings took credit for the FPS channel back then because I don’t know why.
Also wings of virus might refer to the time he had a one night stand and thought he had an STD. Or maybe it’s his Mersa infection but that’s a stretch.
the wingsofredemption meal might refer to when simian jimmy put a banquet meal, wendy's chili, and a pepsi in a blender and called it the wingsofredemption meal in one of his wheel of cursed meals episodes
It should be noted that the "xbottle" situation got a lot worse and involved large scale doxing on part of the dark-ish edge of the troll community.

Doxing and gay-ops are always afoot, I don't see a problem with trolling wings or even invoking a degree of cancel culture at all. The problem with the trolling community is that it frequently forces out content creators or harasses them to such a degree they quit altogether.

In a recent stream, Richard was talking g about buying another truck. He has also said many times he barely goes out. I don't understand his fascination with cars and throwing money down the drain when he eventually gets rid of them or trades them in. I'm pretty sure his A/C is still broken.
39:20 bongo was and still is mistreated. It was wing's wife's dog and she never brought him to the vet so he ended up with heart worms. He spends every second outside no matter the weather and is chained up on a very short chain. Wings only puts bongo on camera after people complain about the abuse. It's really sad. No walks or shelter while his other dog Bailey lives it up inside the modular mansion.
