@@seancameron149 I didn’t watch Eastenders back then, or if I did I’m too young to remember the story lines, but considering from these comments there was a chance it was Archie’s I’d say it wasn’t much of a choice on her part
It;s disgusting to think Archie might have fathered his own granddaughter Danielle. I know the show said it was somebody else but there's no way to know without a DNA test. Archie was honestly one of the most vile villains in EastEnders though.
If this had been a US Soap Opera they would have been named Stars Of The Week, or Editor's Choice, Larry Lamb would have won a Daytime Emmy The US's Highest Honor.
Archie basically killed Danielle (Ronnie daughter). Cause he told Ronnie she was dead so when she met Danielle she didn’t know who it was so than Danielle run out and died lol
After this scene, I was always on Ronnie’s side. It always annoyed me how Peggy, Roxy and other people kept believing Archie. And then when Archie showed his true colours, it was too late.
lol he did take on Phil when Phil abducted him and threatened to kill him if he didn't leave the Square Archie stuck around and called Phil out on his BS empty threat and Phil didn't do shit about it it actually resulted in him and Peggy falling out and him going on Drugs.
I think they mean he never got physical with Phil. Even though Archie wasn’t scared of Phil when he found out he was all mouth, he still knew better than to put his hands on him like he did to his own daughter or even Ian.

A bit late to the party here (thanks to late recommendations from UA-cam), but the comments section beggars belief. I dunno, is it me or could this whole situation have been avoided if Ronnie just showed some respect for her father and simply apologised? I'm just putting it out there, it was so obvious it was screaming at me. Why are people saying Archie is evil? Is a father not entitled to respect from that which he seeded life? Seems to me people are so quick to label others evil purely based on the fact that they're aggressive. I guarantee if the spat were between Ronnie and her mother in a similar situation, people wouldn't be calling her mother evil, they would just say the situation got out of hand and both of them need healing and counselling or something. This evil branding always seems to find its way towards fathers and I don't think that's right. Can anyone provide a thesis? Men are too easily cast the aspersion of being evil and I'd like to know why. All I see on the screen is a spoilt brat for a daughter who never matured into a respectful adult and an extremely upset and frustrated father who maybe just maybe thought his daughter would have grown up a bit by her 30's to see the error of her ways and apologise.
@@FlipflopMount222 As far as I know it's because she got knocked up as a 15 year old and clearly wasn't equipped to be a mother, so her father made her give the child up for adoption. Don't necessarily think Archie was in the wrong for doing that. Making her believe her child was dead? Yeah probably, he went too far there, but it really didn't need to come to that if she just showed some respect in the first place, a father is always ready to forgive. It's the defiance of the father that sets women up for downfall for the rest of their lives and they never take responsibility for it. Hence the term "Daddy issues".
@@Longlostpuss No, he abused her too when she was growing up. That's why she was the way she was with him and he also pushed her which caused her to have a miscarriage which didn't help either.
@@FlipflopMount222 A different child? Her first child Danielle came back. As for the other stuff, honestly didn't remember anything about that, although you'll have to excuse me because this was years ago now. If that were true would her sister Roxy be talking to him either? Seems her and Archie were really close, so it's unlikely that he was a selective abuser to just the one daughter.
@@Longlostpuss Yeah, she was pregnant in 2009 and he pushed her against a wall which caused her to have a miscarriage then he rubbed it in that she made him do it. That's for the Roxy thing I don't know but I remember the episode when she told Peggy and Roxy and Roxy was in denial of it.
It's weird to think that the guy who played super evil Archie Mitchell played the lovely sweet dad in Gavin and Stacey
Natalie Grant how? It's called acting?
Shows what a good actor he is
That's the beauty of acting
He is an incredible actor
Never liked Larry Lamb again the way he treated Martin Roberts on a I'm a celeb
Stacey did Walford a favor when she smashed the Queen Vic bust over Archie's head.

He would get shot in real life if he acted like that

@@hollyandrews1516 that’s not necessarily true
It's funny how Archie said Danielle drowned and Ronnie actually did drown 9 years later
I'm just thinking of Gavin and Stacy!
same
It's weird to think a villain like him plays the innocent , sweet dad on Gavin and Stacey
I miss the old eastenders. It was so good back then and it isn’t the same without the Mitchell sisters and Archie. Great acting 👍🏼
Bit weird how he got killed by Stacey in eastenders but in gavin and Stacey his son marries a girl called stacey🤣🤣🤣🤣
Ha
Poor Ronny that must of been heartbreaking......
😭😭😭😭😭😭
"This is life paying you back" the way he says it makes me laugh.
