Everytime Stacey and Jean tackle mental health over the years they have done it incredibly well. Both excellent actresses, it's also interesting to see them both battle against each other when either is ill. It looks like they are about to tackle this again with Jean, and some may say they keep repeating it. But they have to, if they have two characters with history of extreme mental illness and they are long term characters it is right and realistic for the show to keep bringing it to light. It shows the reality of the battle over a life time. That's definitely one of the things EastEnders does get right in consistency.
They skipped a lot of this but in a way I’m glad because you can see the difference in Stacey from when she’s ill too well. Lacey is such a great actress
Honestly don’t know why she isn’t in movies her acting is too good to stay with these soaps
This is one of the most powerful storylines Eastenders has ever done

I relate to the bipolar as I have bipolar 2 disorder, I have episodes when I bash my head against the wall and leave bruises... On my arms and legs too, i don't remember why it happens. IT JUST does. Its a terrible disorder, you trust no one.

Martins acting was really strong throughout this storyline
I can only count around 10 times I have full on cried in the past 15-20 years… I absolutely cried uncontrollably after watching this back 4 years later. I didn’t watch this when it was on at the time because I was going through a really tough few months and guess what, One of my closest family members is has Bi Polar and had a major crises at the same time as this aired
So obviously I felt I couldn’t watch it. The way they have described it to me and what I witnessed with them being the most hyper, confused, terrified, depressed they have ever been before in their lives was one of the most difficult things myself and my family have ever been through
I love how the camera zooms out at 10:00, also I love Lacey, she is such an incredible and talented actress

@Dillan Deach - Correct, whilst the heart is still beating sitting upright is the best position. However they were performing CPR which meant he was in cardiac arrest.

D M’ the health services have a duty of care to pass it to social services they did with me when I went about feeling unwell in the head

"Child snatchers" X'D the only people that get their kids taken away are those who can't look after them properly

I have, I have bpd and a long history of mental illness way before I had children and social services are vile and always use everything against you, no matter what you do it's never good enough, people struggle and need help not someone to take your children away, my social worker never even had children and had no clue what she was doing.

It was a really wierd storyline but basically she was at a Catholic place and she was in such a haze with everything and they took the baby as soon as it was born

Belinda had a point, Kat keep going on about something 30years ago that had been sorted out yet she had to keep dragging it up. Feel sorry for me.. that useless character Zoe was even worse. And even now Stacey needs a shake! Lilly needed a good back hander and some discipline, getting pregnant and determined to have a baby. Stacey is not a stable mother.
