The bluetooth is for you to monitor and control the recorder from the distance from your phone using the Zoom app. It does not transmit audio signal wirelessly.
Imagine having multiple persons miced up and be able to start-stop recording at will from a distances with your phone. And also to check if the mics are turned on...
For wedding film makers this is very handy.
Sure, the bluetooth distance is not that great but it will do the job.
Planning to get two of these: one for me and one for my wife to use when motorcycle traveling. Then sync them in post with the scrap audio from the "video camera".
Haveing bluetooth I cand start - stop recording at will without having to press any buttons on the units.
In my last trip I used a Zoom H1 only for me and didn't have any solution for my wife.
Before that I used a wireless sollution but it keeps cutting of in the city and also is a fuss to start-stop recording, and having them in line of sight. The sound wasn't that good for the hustle.
I'm switching to the Zoom F2-BT for my next trip.
