I now have two years and hundreds of hours on the Waydoo and still stand by everything in this video. The foam board has been a feature. I’m not worried about someone getting hit by the board or scratching it getting in and out. Lift does make a great product. I think this is the best value efoil on the market. How are you liking it?
Thanks for the great content! We ordered a couple Waydoos with your code at the end of 2023. Is there anything else we need to do to get the cool hats?
We batch mail every couple of months! I see you on the list! Hat forthcoming. The power pumper neon hats are earned w a dock start and 1min pump. These are nice, everyday hats! Thanks for your support!
I'm 220 lbs and I get about 40 minutes with waydoo, I got two boards and two betteries for the price of one Lift foil, if i dont bring a frined I ride both boards for 1.5 hours and its plenty for me
I could not confirm this. I‘m using my flyer now the third year - I was an early adopter - but never could fly over 30min /10km with 85Kg. Now, three years later it dropped under 30min and 8-9km. I’m still a little disappointed about the range. However it is a really great fun to fly.
@Donkytom what year did you purchase? Possible your battery was lower state of charge right out of the factory? This is the first time I’ve heard of this, and I’m sorry to hear it!
@@WakeThief i ordered my flyer in June 2022 (I thought it was the third year but I’m wrong…). Great review! Do you think the battery lasts longer with an axis (for example 1150) front wing? I have read Some comments that the battery is empty after 30-40 minutes for heavier guys and I thought it might be because the explorer wing had a aspect ratio of 4. The battery is 32 ah so that should be more than enough for longer flying times.
I'm still waiting on an Indiegogo e-Foil called the XFoil. I got the batteries in early April but the rest isn't supposed to ship until mid July or so. The basic foil is $3800 and the upgraded one I got is $4700. We'll see how good it is-hopefully this summer.
Am I the only person who thinks that for the cost of a decent used car, these things are still waaaaaay overpriced. $650 seems right to me. Maybe we've all lost our minds and this tech is still way to expensive
Personally I feel like 3.5-6k would be the sweet spot.. would love to see what the cost is to build. 6-15k though is just absurd.... am I looking at getting one of course.
Right on. These don't need to cost more than $2000 - 2900 absolute tops. Until they do, they'll never get truly popular. The people paying 12-15,000 for a Lift Foil are smoking crack or the idle rich. That said, the sport is in it's infancy - and production #s are so relatively low that the unit cost is high. As it gains popularity it'll decrease. Amazon already lists a GOYOUJO Brand electric surfboard (not a lift foil) for $3,990 - that's getting down to "not bad" territory. But still too high for "Honey let's buy one for each of us & the 2 or 3 kids" range.
I love your channel, I am curious can an E-foil wake thief a boat wave while.you are out riding, to help extend the ride time and more so the fun factor.
Waydoo seems to have hit a sweet spot for value. I would probably opt for this if I was not already a Lift owner. The real question is, however When review of: Sabfoil Leviathan 1550 Armstrong MA1750 Axis Art1099 ??????? Thanks for sharing!
Yes. I don’t know what rider weight, speed and front wing they cite in the 2 hr ride time. I did the test myself, at the speeds I cited because that’s how I like to ride (including wipeouts!)
I'm a big fan. I saw a regular foil with a bar to hold onto. It looked like they were pushing the bar to help pump. Just wondering your thoughts on it. I'll put a link in my comments.
My brother has the lift efoil and it works pretty good. This unit is half the cost of the lift how does it compare. I would love one but can't justify 12000.00.
It really depends on you. I drive a 2007 VW rabbit because it’s a great ride from point A to point B. I’d rather drive a Tesla but appreciate saving the money. I would liken this decision to that one. If you’re the type that wants the Tesla, explore Flite and Lift.
I have several Slingshot Hoverglide Wings. 76/85/99. I also own the Waydoo Flyer One+. Where can I purchase adapters for my assortment of Hoverglide foils to fit onto my Waydoo? Great video!. I weigh 180# but can only get 50 minutes of flight time per charge. Thankyou!! Bill
Thank you! Slingshot doesn’t exist to my knowledge. That style of wing attachment is tough to adapt to other foils. I’ll confirm and let you know if I’m incorrect. Thanks for the battery info. I only tested once and fell off a few times. Speed matters a lot. Not surprised to see a +/- 10 minute swing depending on speed and weight of rider.
Either mast is fine as the wing span isn’t too large, so tips not coming out of the water during turns. Patroller is good for high speed if you’ll wanna go fast. Explorer better if you think you’ll struggle to get the hang of it
Thank you for the great channel and very helpful contents. Is it the SABFoil adapter currently available at MacKite store? I would like to be able to use the Axis foil wings on it. Please advise.
We don’t yet have the surf boats out this year, but I will let you know. I’m quite confident you can, but check out our Flite video from last week. I don’t really think unpowered wake surfing is that exciting as the sweet spot is narrow. That said, folder props have so much less “braking force” when you let go of trigger and that I enjoy .
It depends who you are. If you are ok w a foam board and you plan to heavily use the efoil, and price matters, waydoo is a good choice. If you want the best (fit and finish, and longer battery life) and are willing to pay for it, we’d recommend Flite

The manufacturer does not comply with warranty obligations. and he is not responsible after a year of use! Think ten times before buying waydoo! 😢 The quality of the board is very low!
