Good thing the GOP has our back - I especially appreciate that they ALWAYS take the cop's side every time they shoot us in the back. Or when they intentionally mispronounce our name. Or when they pass laws that make it nearly impossible for specifically Blacks to cast our ballot (reduced early voting, discriminatory purges of voting registration, few or no polling places in oor hoods, vote-by-mail bans, etc). Can we address the fact that Ana recommended a black conservative to address the needs of disgruntled black Democrats?
Why not just recommend listening to Candace Owens, Larry Elder, Clarence Thomas, Tim Scott, Byron Donalds, and Jason Whitlock. They'll all parrot the exact same talking points as this guy did and those are the exact same talking points as Trump. It's almost as if the message is interchangeable because it doesn't actually address any specific racially based circumstances or inequality.

Serious people have got to understand firstly that not voting for Harris amounts to a vote for Trump.
In all but a few ‘swing’ states, that _probably_ does not matter, but in the seemingly improbable event that enough others likewise make a “protest vote” then we’ll be down to the kind of protest that gets crushed along with victims’ skulls.
Courting that is an accelerationist strategy I think reckless; how _much_ worse things can get seems to me a bad bet for being a worthwhile price to pay for raising awareness of how messed up the system is.
If you disagree, and think it is worthwhile, then let that be in sober recognition of the harm that’s being risked, not pretense.
Meanwhile, if we let it keep coming to this choice of evils, then we’ll keep getting worse tightening of the screw.
Activism needs to start with grassroots recruiting and nominating candidates, not waiting for the next “spam, spam, sausage, ham and spam” menu to be handed down.

@7:55 And this my friends is an example of how I know Ana talks to no black men irl. Got a haircut last week. Before tip it was $50 dollars. The cheapest barber in that shop charges $40 before tip. There's no full time black barber relying on tips to get by. If she actually talked to black men she would know we've been complaining about how expensive barbers have gotten for years now. And unlike other hair textures we can get away with getting a haircut only once a month, so we're going at least twice a month at a minimum. That adds up.

The funniest part of this is the suggestion that Trump has been thinking about his economic policies for “years.”
Also, CTG isn’t the greatest interviewer on this subject. He basically wants carved out policies targeted towards black ppl specifically, not policies that will disproportionately affect black ppl (positively). The problem, even if there were no other reasons to object, is that you can’t win a general election on that stuff-you’d lose more support than you’d gain. I think I remember him coming at Bernie on the breakfast club about the same thing.
All this aside, I’d be curious about how many young black males the campaign predicts they can sway with this interview. I could see it having some impact if it were part of a media blitz of black radio stations and platforms, but I’m not sure that a one-off does anything at all.
Last, the finger wag is not that confusing. If dems had to rely on white voters only, republicans would win every time. Every dollar they spend on white voters outside certain segments probably has a relatively low “conversion rate.” They can’t go after the margins in some of those populations (with conversion rates a bit higher) while at the same time bleeding support among their solid base. Republicans would wag their fingers the same way if they were bleeding support among evangelical voters. Trying to cobble together support is very, very hard. So, it is entitled from a certain perspective. But that’s partly because the democratic (such as it is) meat-making sucks. Maybe the only thing to be said for it is that it beats the alternatives.
It’s not about agreeing with the Cheney’s. It’s about saying - we disagree on policy - no doubt. But we are PATRIOTS and will stand for what makes our country great. And when you have a person trying to destroy the country and break us - Trump - we come together as AMERICANS and work against that evil. Why is that so hard to understand? I give the Cheney’s credit for seeing there are more important things than politics or political parties.

Democrats should implement the Benjamin Franklin Close. That is a win-win approach if there is ever one. As the saying goes, "What have you done for me lately?" The Ben Franklin Close will point that out, starting with the Social Security program and ending with low drug prescription costs. Like Kamala did by pointing out the effectiveness of the unions. You better thank a union member for specifics. The Dems have a laundry list of things to boast about but consistently draw blinks in front of voters.
Social Security is not on the table as long as old people still vote heavily. The Republican Party is not that dumb. Maybe someone like Ted Cruz but he is not eligible to be Pres or VP and thus won't be able to change that fact.
