Perrin moss is an old friend of mine, perrin started as a producer but he was also a talented MC and moved to drums later on and first started busking on the cajon then he moved to drums later, he already had a great understanding of rhythm at a young age so the move to drums was understandable, he put in ALOT of practice in melbourne when he first moved. loved the video, good to see the rhythms broken down. keep it up!

Thanks for making this video I found it helpful! I’ve always been a bass player and now trying to learn more drums, super encouraging that they weren’t Perrin’s first medium. Opening it up like that with the left hand makes this groove feel so much smoother. Love it.

What a uni throwback this song is 😍 I really think that the way he plays by leading with left-hand quarter notes actually does make a big difference to the sound! It sounds less 'skippy' and more smooth - with the 16th notes being played by the right hand, it allows more space and you can control that straight-swung spectrum a bit! Great video as always bro ♥
Thank you! Glad you like it. I believe that's a Gretsch Catalina snare. Someone had put a coated head on the bottom though (not recommended lol), so I put a ching ring and some ankle bells on it to counteract the deadness of it. Hope that makes sense :)
