fightinggamefanatic yes you can buy the metal detectors in the USA. the make is minelab and I will guess it to be a gpx-4500 but probably a gpx-5000. the coils i not sure if you can get in the USA. the reason the minelab pi machines are so popular in Australia is because they handle the shit mineralized dirt the best. hope that helps.
