I went over this with forums not long after the launch. The Strix and Suprim cards had the worst coil whine, and I put it down to both of them using 70a inductors which are prone to coil whine. The lesser cards use 50/55a. They are not as good, but less prone to whine. Asus now says they are switching them out for another brand....but my god, they left it a bit late, seeing that many people worked the issue out months and months ago. The problem is how to tell which card is which. It would be great if on the box it says Rev 2.0
@arthurfraga9107 I had a quick look to see if I could email Asus, but for some reason, all I can do is send them a text question. I just want to ask a general question, but it seems in the UK the contact is limited.
I have same coil whine! I changed my psu from EVGA to Corsair it’s get better but. Still have noise then I fixed it by undervolt. And I’m good now so happy I can now play game without that stupid noise 😊
Coil Whine usually depends on three facts. First, the PCB design. Second, the components used on PCB, mostly the vrm parts. Third, luck. Basically, the same design tends to have the same amount of coil whine, but also depends on patch, and personal luck.
I recommend waiting for the new manufactured white strix, asus announced that they are putting new inductors that promise to end the noise. When you pick up, inform the beginning of her serial, because here in Brazil it will take longer to arrive.
My tuf 4080 same as yours 😢. You cant do nothing except return it for another manufacturer like Gigabyte. Gigabyte is having good reputation right now in terms of 40 series cards. In my case I'll see how it goes, maybe go for Gigabyte.
3080 strix такой же звук в играх, но стоит включить furmark и сделать alt+tab и звуки усиливаются в раза 3, при этом потребление падает. Больше покупать видеокарты от asus я не буду никогда.

@EverlastingHate They probably don't want to say because people will just want them, and Asus will be stuck with older batches.

Both AMD and Nvidia with coil whine with their top cards.
