Fading Away is my favorite Will to Power song!! I told Suzi that, and she informed me she wrote this song as well!! Suzi Carr Rocks!! and she is one of the sweetest performers I have ever met!! A true pioneer of the Underground scene and Headliner in the New Orleans Area, Baton Rouge, and Lafayette areas!! That's where I met her for the first time!! Miss her music today!!!
John DiStefano ALL songs were written, produced and project managed by Bob Robert Rosenberg . Suzi Carr was sub- contracted by Bob Rosenberg- the artist that was signed by Epic Records. Don't be fooled by the hype and catch phrases . All if this is Bob.
Saw them performing this and some of their other songs at Palladium in NYC for KTU's Hot Night 3 on November 7, 1988 Awesome night!!! Gotta love the 80's ❤
Jamming to this song the other day into my commute to work and recalling the night clubbing in New York City back in the 1980s and 1990s . Driving through the Lincoln Tunnel full blast in my 1998 gta trans am lol still runs 😂

This group should have made a few more videos - they have such a fierce late-'80s look that I enjoy taking in... I was a teenager in the late '80s - and for some odd reason, I don't have a strong memory of this group from then. But boy, I have enjoyed listening to them since I "discovered" them about 14 years ago, on a radio station that would play a lot of '80s hits. There is just a nice "feel" to their music. They somehow manage to capture the essence of the late-'80s - yet seem timeless.
***** Somehow, this group didn't make it to Atlanta - or if they did, I missed them. Perhaps I wasn't listening to the right radio stations. But it seems that I don't even remember when they had the #1 song in the land, "Baby I Love Your Way/Freebird". I was 15 at the time - how did I overlook this group? Oh well, they certainly have become one of the "'80s Groups" that I've cherished in the years since. I now realize that many of their songs had that sound that is considered "Freestyle" - though they toned down this sound for this song and for some of their other well-known hits.
Suzi Carr is definitely one of the icons of the late 80s. Along with other great singers of that era. I hope she knows that. Sending love from Brazil. Xoxo :)

I never knew what music group sung this song, but I've always enjoyed it. It does take you back to the Miami Vice era. Of course I am a big Miami Vice fan. Sonny Crockett was my BOY and still is!
She had such a powerful voice, and call me crazy, but I still think that frizzy hair looks hot. She was the complete package, beautiful and her voice was awesome.
Oooohhhh that Miami Vice era, so glad i got to live it, 80's& 90's best years of my life, Fort Lauderdale was a dream to live at, beach, clubs, music, girls, cars. If they ever come up with real time travel i know where im goin, F******K the future im going back to this times and stay there if i can.
2FAST4U2 Yeah but we're too old to be up all night on the white mirror anymore! That seemed to be everywhere in 84-89ish...i miss the girls with the sweater type one piece dresses. Coral or Pink, Neon Green, for even tackier by the 90s! But we WEREN'T GONNA WEAR Those uncool 70s clothes, I needed all 16 pockets in my parachute pants! I can taste the winecoolers! uggghhhh
2FAST4U2 I was in the Carolinas, BUTT wished I coulda been down there for the beginning of the Thong Revolution, And we did have our share of thong\bare as you dare contests in my city. REALLY miss THAT!
Suzi, baby you will never fade away! Your beauty and vocals are amazing! Thanks for the great times and memories!! Oh how I miss you today in music!!! I love you and your way!!!!
+80smusicremixes so very true. Those maxi singles, 12 inch vinyl lps were bad ass. Shep Pettibone remixed so many great songs and made them even better. Will To Power are so terrific aren't they? Cheers.
Awesome times. I lived the life in S. Florida during the hey-day in the early-mid 80’s, after leaving L.A. before moving to Cape Canaveral/Cocoa Beach (Central FL) where I am now. Nothing like it. Had a couple boats for the Intracoastal and out to Pennecamp and hauled ass on my stripped down Gold Wing to cruise US1 down to Key West, Tamiami Trail, Krome Ave and Alligator Alley. Saw the new huge Spring Break scene in Lauderdale, went to Fire and Ice Club in Miami every weekend. Best of times.
Then you probably remember Facade, which was on 163rd Street, which is where this video was filmed in January of 1988. Club was open from Dec 87 to July of 93. Good times in Miami!
Suzi has such an amazing voice... One of the best of freestyle and was so beautiful. I wonder if this was also filmed on Long Island, like "Baby, I Love Your Way" was. I used to have this cassette in my Walkman on auto reverse, until my ex accidentally melted it. :/
Thank you Diana! This was filmed on South Beach in Miami. I used my own Miami hairdresser....that's how my hair got so big, That's Gloria Estafan's restuarant I'm walking into after I slam the car door. lol.

Finally found this song ... I've had this song in my heard for decades without knowing what its called ... kept thinking of Let The Music Play (Shannon) or Eaten Alive (by Diana Ross) so I search under these female singer's catalogue to no avail ... never imagine in a million years this is sung by the same group that sang I Love Your Way and I'm Not In Love ...
Boomed this on my mini truck from 88-92. When I was in the Army in 92 a roommate from Miami loved the album but never heard of them.

To this day Will to Power and all the rest of the 80's still kicks ass compared to any of the crap that people try to pass off as music today.
Cheesy but Effective! ...
This is such a jam. Holds up all these years later.
Such a unque lineup of musicians..not what I expected. You can't argue with results. This is fire.
