Thank you Nathan, for all the wealth and knowledge on this journey. I was 9 in 1977 when I first saw Star Wars in the theaters and now turning 55 this month. It is just amazing to see the different generations of collectors world wide.
Thanks Nathan and congrats on 10 yrs. You've always been my source for anything SW home video. I regularly go back and reference old videos. Thank you so much for all you've done! ~Chris
I've only been following the channel for a few years, but it's been consistently interesting and illuminating! Looking forward to whatever the future brings!
I remember when starting my own collection I stumbled onto your videos and found them so good and full of info. Just wanna say thank you for all your hard work over the years and dedication to the community. Unfortunately for me I live in Australia so no more future releases for me.
Congrats Nathan on the 10-year anniversary. This wonderful series is such a great resource. I have vol 1 of A Saga on Home Video and reference it quite often. Thank you for your continued passion toward the history of Star Wars home media.
As someone who's been watching since 2015, this show's been an endless source of entertainment and knowledge to me as someone who wants the best way to get the Star Wars saga on both DVD and Blu-ray, with the first episode that I ever watched being the one detailing the 2006 OG Trilogy DVDs with the "unaltered" versions of the films. Thank you for everything, here's to many more Star Wars home video adventures.
Congratulations on 10 years! I only discovered this channel in September 2019 when UA-cam finally decided to recommend it to me. I wish I'd been able to follow the series from the beginning. But I was recommended the right video at the exact right time. I was looking for information about the Blu-rays and DVDs that were quietly rereleased on September 22, 2019. They weren't officially announced, just rumors that they were coming, and there was no information about what versions of the movies were or what was included with them was available. I was very close to just leaving my apartment, catching a bus to Walmart, and buying them to see what they were, when UA-cam recommended From the Star Wars Home Video Library #221. Being able to watch that video right then saved me a lot of money (though, other videos I watched after that made me aware of items I didn't know about that I ended up buying). I have learned a lot from the From the Star Wars Home Video Library series. Thank you for all of the information you have provided over the last decade, and for all the hard work, time, and money you have put in to acquire that information.
Quite. Enough that I’m having a scrap the Q&A video that I recorded the same day as this but haven’t had a chance to edit because many of the answers no longer apply.
2015 was a great year for me. At the beginning of that year, I had a renewed passion for Star Wars with the anticipation for The Force Awakens coming that December. I finished junior high (8th Grade) and started my Freshman year of high school in 2015. Anyways, during the first seven months, I would (at least once a month) binge Episodes I-VI, usually in one weekend. As part of that, I ended up finding some of the older VHS releases of the Star Wars films, and that's how I found this channel. I took a break from constantly rewatching Star Wars after July until finally doing one last marathon before The Force Awakens over the course of two days. I did so with one of my friends after we finished our final exams for our first semester of our Freshman year. Then, we saw The Force Awakens on December 19, and it was a great way to end an amazing year. Anyways, enough beating around the bush, thanks Nathan for your great content.
Happy 10 years to this show, Nate. I've been watching since not long after you started it. Since about late 2013/early 2014. Yeah, since the point where you were recording on that crap quality net book webcam. Hard to believe it's been almost a decade since i personally stated watching the series. This has been a fun ride of about 500+ episodes including the supplemental ones, and i look forward to whatever content comes next.
I remember the first video of yours I watched was where you explained the Complete Saga blu-ray set (the one with Darth Vader on the cover) as I was doing research trying to figure out which set to get (to this day, I still don’t have the the first 6 movies on on blu-ray, unfortunately). I’ve enjoyed watching your show over the years and I liked the obscure and international releases you’ve shown. As a small question (which you can answer here, I don’t mind), have you ever thought about covering Star Trek home video releases? (Perhaps just the streaming shows?)
Nathan, congratulations on 1 decade of the show, which has itself been a source of entertainment alongside the content it covered. On another note, may I humbly suggest that it might be gratifying to the audience to cite the actual number of episodes or releases of any kind within the show, other than "500+ if you include supplemental episodes and such", as those peripheral releases were themselves just as entertaining and a worthwhile statistic to mention alongside the 485 main numbered episodes so far. I.e. if the total is actually 535 releases of the show in grand total, then that's something to be proud of and in my humble opinion a worthwhile statistic that can be referred back to for historical reasons. Either way, kudos and all the very best my friend.
For what it's worth, I got in more work on the spreadsheet this week. I'm slowly starting to just go shelf to shelf in my collection to confirm that things are on the spreadsheet or grab info for what isn't. It's slow-going, though. Just in terms of full-size shelves, I have what you might call 4 narrow multi-shelf "towers" and 4 sets of shelves that are basically double-width compared to the towers. I'm through one narrow tower so far in this round of moving through.
And speaking of physical media going away, I just heard that Disney is ending its “Movie Club” service on physical media, and Disney will no longer putting movies on DVD and Blu-Ray. And now, all of the Disney movies including the “Star Wars” movies will go to Sony Pictures Home Entertainment for distribution where they will continue to put out Disney and “Star Wars” to physical media for re-releases.
Yup. Don't drop DMC just yet, though. They do still have a mini-lithograph offered with orders of Obi-Wan Kenobi: The Complete Series through DMC. There's no BD/DVD combo this time, though, like there was for Mandalorian S1 or S2, and it's just Obi-Wan getting the mini-litho, not Andor, just like only Mando S1 got one last time, not S2. Apparently only one mini-litho per pair is what they've gone with. I'm assuming these went into production well before the announcement, so they're probably the last we'll see.

Yup, we all have the gray or white;) Pretty awesome we have this bond that we all share. Thanks for all you do!
I have seen this since the beginning, congrats on the 10th Anniversary

I have the same problem buying pants LoL. I'm 5'6 and have short legs. But I'm 42 and my waist is wider.
From now on it shall be the "Star Wars MySpleen Library"
