I know this video is 3 years old, but my goodness I’m so happy to have found it. Thank you for your excellent breakdown of how to do this ourselves. We appreciate you.
I used to do it like that 20 years ago. Now I use a paint brush on my wall lines. I just pour a line along the wall and brush it. Then I use a 18inch roller with a 1inch nap and pour half gallon puddles and pull them out. It's faster and cleaner for me. Also I don't roll fast near the house because of the splatter. 👍🏻looks good tho brother.
This method is how I've done it forever as well. Many years ago I put sealer on to thick with the dump and spread method and it blisterd to high hell. I went back the next day and sprayed a light mist of xzylene and rolled it and it seemed to fix the issue. So after that this has been my tried and true. But I've learned through the years that every skilled worker finds there own groove that works for them. And I believe as long as it turns out sweet that's all that matters.
Thank you Juan... my contractor sent me a pic of what he originally used ... and Voila it is the same as what you used... have a great day...wish you much success! Regards from a small town in Ontario Canada!
Ive never touched concrete before but after watching your videos and many others, it looks fun, but only with the right crew haha. Keep up the great work Juan!
Concrete work can be fun at times I've been in the business for the last 21 years and it's definitely better with the right crew. Thanks for watching and thanks for the kind words much appreciated!
Brand new sprayer, damn that cost about $200, I wish my leaf blower started up that easy, 1 time I over pumped it and my can blew a gasket and sprayer 30% sealer all over my face, it was hell!
I got a question My Friend When power washing before sealing You have to remove old sealer.if so did you used any sealer remover.. Or is ok with power wash Please let me know And thank you for thus Video 👍
I use xylene if I need to remove any sealer. But the only time for that is if the sealer has turned white or flaking or bubbling. If thats happening Ill spray that on and and clean it up. Other than that if its clean and your just looking to just reapply sealer for a new look again. Then the pressure wash will do just fine as long as its clean of any dirt and greases . Hope this helps feel free if you have any othe questions you need help with good luck
Nice job! Did you have to cut the sealer with anything? I've always had to if I was spraying it, but we usually use crystal clear voc..... it may be a bit thicker than the one you used. I might need to try what you used!
No cutting it down is not necessary it's a fairly thin product and it's a cure and seal so it's multi purposeful. In my opinion it's the best and easiest product for the job
All I did was pressure wash real good. I had always kept it real clean so I didn't need to do much prep besides pressure wash. If the old sealer is flaky or super haze then I would have used my sprayer to mist xzylene on the areas and knock down the effected areas. But most times a good pressure washing maybe a little 30 sec cleaner does the job. Good luck on your project hope this helps more than happy to help again if needed. Have a great weekend
The only time I've need to remove the sealer is if it has clouded over and became cloudy or flakey. I use xylene to remove the sealer but if its clean a good wax and grease remover would work great for prep . Sealer is no different than paint the correct prep would keep you from a full removal. Good luck hope this helps of you need anything else feel free to ask away
There was no need if it was oxidized or bubbling or anything making it look milkey then I would have striped it off. With something like xylene and a pressure washer. If the sealer is just faded and lost its sheen then a good pressure wash job should prep it enough for a new coat of sealer. I hope this helped have a great day
Its the thin fan spray tip that comes with the can. When spraying you just really want to make sure you're putting it on super thin. Better to put a few coats on than thicker ones

Mannn I wish my sprayer worked as good…something must b wrong with mine
This was a brand new sprayer dont get no better lol
No need to strip the old sealer to ensure it adheres better? Asking because i am day 3 into striping my countertops... it ain't easy or fun.

@@thatjuanshow4485 Makes a ton of sense, thank you so much. It sounds like if i stay ahead of it turning too bad, i won't be in this situation again.
Hi Juan!
Que paso vato 👋
What was the brand name sprayer?
Chapin sprayer
Didn't have to strip the previous sealer?
There was no need if it was oxidized or bubbling or anything making it look milkey then I would have striped it off. With something like xylene and a pressure washer. Nozzle .5gpm .2gpm or .1gpm?
Its the thin fan spray tip that comes with the can. When spraying you just really want to make sure you're putting it on super thin. Better to put a few coats on than thicker ones
Can you do mine?
Do you live on the Big island? If so I'd love too check out your project!
