This video is so helpful!!! I love this thank you so much, obviously it’s so hard right now but this was so reassuring. I love Birmingham, it’s such a good city to be at uni at.☺️ x
Omg im starting in September and like binging loads of UoB related videos, this is one of the most helpful yet - that map tip might’ve just saved me lol
Been here 3 weeks and I really like it 😁 Obviously it’s a bit frustrating with Corona and cases are going crazy here- nearly all my friends from other accommodations are in isolation rn but I’ve still managed to get stuff done To anyone thinking of coming here- defo do Just gotta hope by this time next year things are *nearly back to normal Great video :)
Thank you so much for this video! Im legit stressing about induction week as well as starting uni haha ik it aint that deep but i aint like all these other man who are openly confident and shit so im extra nervous loool
I understand completely! In a month or two you’ll wonder why you were even worried in the first place, trust me! Don’t stress, you don’t necessarily have to be openly confident. Just be friendly and say hi to everyone. With the right people it will flow naturally from there. Good luck 💪🏾❤️
Hii, thank you for the insight! I'm going to UoB this September, and I'm concerned about the safety that you mentioned. When I first arrive in Birmingham, do you think it would be safe for me to walk at noon from campus area to Dawlish Rd (where my accomm is located) with my baggage? Thank you.
this vid is amazing to come across omg. I'm a Canadian student wanting to do an exchange and debating between this university and University of Sussex ... how's the student life and night life?
I’m at Brighton uni, which is right next to Sussex uni, as a city Brighton is really really safe and really good for students I’d say, night life is solid theee always stuff on. Plenty of restaurants and shisha places in brighton town center, there’s also the beach at your doorstep too!
Your gonna find much better facilities and night life at Birmingham than Sussex. Birmingham as a city is much more vibrant and has good nightlife. It would be an easy pick for me.
It's basically just a week of events for fort years. Usually going to clubs an just meeting new people. Also a chance to join societies if a uni hosts a fair
I'm starting there this month and I'm interested in joining the ACS. What do you do in the ACS and how different is it to the Caribbean society? Im not sure which to join
I just applied for a year abroad to spend at Birmingham (i'm german) and I am both excited and terrified. Thanks for all the good advice!

Birmingham is one of my top options because I want to do performing arts and worried about moving away from home x
I've applied to Brum for geography, absolutely love this video :)

How can I find those group chats ?
Btw is there a lot of black people at this uni or is it predominantly white people ?
birmingham is incredibly diverse.
It’s mostly white but all Russell group universities are mostly white but there’s a decent amount of black people here
@@yourstrulyvals i hope so😭
