Rubbed in certain areas just like the video said how the previous version wasn't as good and mentioned the same issues I had and many people had. You should try the Paris Metaspeed. Those are a dream shoe so comfortable and very fast.
Great review as always fan of the Lightstrike Pro foam in the Pro 3 but the fit of the uppers caused pressure points above the toes and this Pro 4 appears to have fixed that issue
The day we've been all waiting for. My UA-cam home screen looks like an Adidas Pro 4 commercial, is full of Pro 4 reviews. Looks funny. Had to sell my Pro 3 as it was too uncomfortable, gave me blisters on my right feet (arch) and it was just way too firm (gave me plantar fasciitis). I appreciate that others love the Pro 3 and work for them but for me it was a big disappointment. Can't wait to get my hands on a pair of Pro 4. Great review guys as always!
Same... Started from 2 & 3 didn't disappoint... I hope 4 even further impresses. I just really fear that durability is being compromised across all running shoes these days. It's like they want you to come for another pair ASAP
@@legendsofmyselfagreed pro 3 had impressive durability which for most marathon runners mattered ! Concern if they soften up foams too much and cut out more of lateral outsole that might be major durability issue.
Hi Kieran. Great review and very detailed as usual. I found that some Adidas running shoes sometimes fit slighty short (original Terrex Speed Ultra) or a little long (Takumi sen 8) and I had to go for a half size up or down. How about the AAP4? Many thanks
The rubber on the bottom actually isn’t Continental. The only part that is, is the little pink box under the big toe. The rest is adidas’s own compound which isn’t really rubber at all.
I watched like 5-6 reviews of AAP4 and this is the best one. Not kidding nobody was even running in those 😂What marathon tempo do you think is required for marathon to consider buying this shoe? my PB is 3h20min
I think I will wait for the Endorphin Elite 2 :P. Anyway, I do think there's a small correction to be made: from what I've read so far, the continental grip is only in the red triangle in the forefoot. The rest is a dubbed down (aka lighter but worse) version of it.
To remind: Runrepeat measured the stack height of Adios pro 3 in a lab. Claimed forefoot: 33m, actual 29.8 mm, Claimed heel: 39,5, actual 37,8mm Claimed drop: 6,5mm, actual 8mm
Lots of shoe stack heights vary across different sizes.. The important thing was that it was a great shoe and easily the most durable foam in any super shoe racer with way more miles /kms in the foam life compared to Nike or Asics
those videos are dubious at best, demonstrably incorrect at worst. I'm basically watching them right now measuring forefoot foam about an inch too far foreword, and then taking that measurement away from the heal Hight to gain the drop measurement, even though the part he measured was clearly about 5-6mm off the ground... then having a go at the shoe manufacturer for getting the drop wrong... not to mention no word of what shoe size they're actually measuring...
@@fergusdenoon1255 Never watched their videos, but on their website they almost always tell the shoe size. In Adios 3 case it was US 9. They even compare for example what the advertised length is for US 9 and they measure the real length too. The stack height measurements are all in accordance with World Athletics official rules. So the measurement point/location where they do make those measurements are indeed accurate. They even have an article where they explain why the drop sometimes contradicts with the manufacturers official number, but it’s not a measurement error.
@@videoforum4047 yeah well what I actually care about is that "the magic" in the cushioning foam before it's dead lasts 2X at least what a Nike Vapourfly or Asics Meta speed does while also performing.

Thank you so much for your review brother. Would you please tell me that, my feet size is=25.5 cm. I basically use vaporfly next%2 is 26.5 cm, Saucony endorphin pro2-26.5 cm. So please ensure my brother that, What size can be the good comfortable for adios pro 4, if my feet size is 25.5 cm. I would appreciate. Thanks again!❤🧡
You barely mention the outsole. I haven't worn the Adios Pro since version 1, since I wore through the lateral heel of that outsole in less than 100 miles. You often say that you tend to burn through outsoles quickly too, so I wonder what your impression will be of the likely durability of this shoe once you've run in it more. Also, in a future video please compare it to the Puma Deviate Elite 3.
Adidas moved to using cpu for the outsole, the same material Chinese brands have been using since at least 2019. It's lightweight, has excellent grip and last pretty much forever. It's somewhat noisy and not great on trail roads. I find it much better than rubber outsoles.
The wobbly heel reminds me of how I felt about the NB Elite V3. It has lovely foam, but it is unstable, and I can't imagine all the supporting ligaments lasting a long effort. Perhaps a comparison in the future? By the way, I ended up with the Pro 4 and am very happy so far.
Does the stitching in the heel collar resemble the stitching of the AP3? Or is it more like the Boston 12? My achilles got absolutely destroyed in the AP3 but the different stitching on the Boston 12 fit me very well.
Looking forward to see how the Pro 4 holds up on soaking wet roads. A lot of my shoes get sidelined during the wet months (which is basically 6 months), because of insufficient traction.
I did some miles in wet-ish conditions. Nothing immediately troubling but I wasn't running anything too twisty. Will be sure to get into this for the review. And looks like we're not going to be short of wet roads for that.
It's an interesting one. The Pro 4 definitely seems to be an upgrade, but that doesn't mean it won't be divisive... A lot of people love the Pro 3 because it has that stable, comfortable and laid back character, which is why some use it as a daily trainer.

Great review! I've had the same heel lift issue with the AP3 in both US 12.0 & 11.5. I think the heel is the same. I do love the AP3 but I've worn thicker socks and put a tongue pad in so I can really lock down without lace bite. Another thing I really like about the AP3 was the roomy toe box. I don't have wide toes but really like the feel of having toes splay (Endorphin Elite 1). The toe box definitely looks narrower on the AP4? Appreciate any feedback!
Never worn a shoe that locked my heel in better and more effortlessly, even without lacing up. I think most people bought this shoe a size to large. So did I at first because I mistook the snug fit of my correct, smaller size for the shoe being too small and sized up (i.e. normal TTS).
@reigaterobot4965 propably more stable heel, roomier fit, softer - yet springy- ride and more adaptable carbon set up due to the rods. Also maybe a better outsole and better longevity (based on v3)
