- Marlene Bakker is a striking appearance in the Lower Saxon American singing circuit. Her beautiful voice and beautifully crafted songs are striking and unique in the Dutch music scene. In this episode of Fellowship Sessions she'll be singing her song "Waarkhanden" with her guitarist Bernard Gepken playing on an Atkin O37 12 Fret.
Marlene will be playing a concert in our own theater on the 5th of April, tickets available here: theaterdina.nl/?p=bekijk&id=101
Over here in Dedemsvaart we quite well understand the beautiful Groningen-Low saxon Marlene sings in. But even if you don't follow, you will be touched by the beautiful atmosphere and music. Full of desire, hope, pride, sadness and romance. Immerse yourself in a unique music experience in which Marlene sings about the magic of the northern provinces that is so recognizable to us all. The music sort of seamlessly connects with today's indie pop.

Even though I'm not familiar with the language, the music says it all. So beautiful! Cheers from Brazil

Very dreamy......nicely done.
I’m curious what guitar Bernard is using ...anyone know?
Thanks! Bernard plays an Atkin 037 12 fret.
Beautiful, and the song wasn’t bad either.
Thanks for commenting Don, we didn't think it was half-bad either ;)
