Actually, there are homeless situations like this in Korea too, but they are forgotten and not brought up publicly.
Maybe Mr. Juice or Stein would be kind enough to offer you another LA experience :D If I lived in LA, I'd totally help you plan out new activities 🙂

Places like Skid Row in LA, areas here in NYC and all over the United States (where homelessness is a huge issue) just got way worse since COVID as more people lost their homes during these difficult times. It is a real shame, but it is good that you showed it and everyone else gets to see the truth. Many would want to ignore it and pretend its now there, but we as a society need to acknowledge this is a troubling issue that needs addressing. Thank you Anna for another amazing Vlog!

I'd be very interested to know what you thought about your experience of Skid Row, in comparison to what Bangtan learned there in 2014 during American Hustle Life when their hip-hop coaches brought them there and had them distribute food to some people living there and hear what advice they had to share with the boys.
Actually BTS have been to skid row too, in 2014 while shooting American hustle life, they gave free food to few homeless people and even had a conversation with them.
Nice you went to Grand Central Market! It’s great to see all the awesome LA friends you’ve made despite having not met them in person until your trip. Your friends have definitely given you the unvarnished LA experience so far. You got a long look at one of America’s biggest problems exacerbated by the pandemic

Definitely go back to LA and go to Disneyland which is in Anaheim. I had cousins from Korea coming to American just to go to Disneyland.
I think you being blunt is good especially to your friends, sometimes people need to hear the truth from their friends. ( I am definitely motivated to exercise more and loose weight just by watching your videos.) Hearing practical solutions to problems is exactly what I look for. This is something near and dear to my heart. I understand the curiosity about the homeless people, but at the end of the day they are people. No one wakes saying they want to be in that situation. I think it would be interesting for you to find out "what happened"? "What leads a person to that level of hopelessness?" My challenge to you 😀
Yes, it possible to get out of it, but usually there is an element of luck to start the climb out of the hole.

You certainly won’t see smth like THIS in Korea but at least 2 years ago homelessness was quite an issue in big cities like Seoul and Busan (haven’t been there since covid broke out so idk mb the situation has changed). It wasn’t rare at all to see ppl sleeping on the streets near main train stations, right in front of them… in sleeping bags, or in underground passages close nearby. If you passed by them, some would scream at you and try to follow for a bit, quite a scary experience ngl. The smell was also present, more in cities like busan than Seoul tho

First of all the homeless issue is huge problem in California but partly because they come from many places outside of California California is a blue state and it has really good weather that’s why they come to California It was not always like this if you study history you can see that in the 80s Ronald Reagan ruined everything He got rid of all mental health services ( inc drug rehab etc ) & closed facilities & said it was entirely the problem of the private sector the government was no longer going to interfere But the problem was getting too big the government needed to be involved and that’s when you first saw homeless and now it is completely out of control because nobody knows what to do Republicans say pull up yourself by the bootstraps clear them out Democrats say they need social services and health care and mental health services It is extremely expensive Big problems

I don't think she thought it was funny. Some people from other countries just don't realize the nature as to why some of these people are homeless, I guess because they think it's mostly drugs issues. But a lot is because they lost their jobs and homes and The rent is way too high. And you're right a A state or a country that pretends to be so luxurious in movies especially Hollywood. Shouldn't have homeless people.
Sometimes people laugh when they are uncomfortable, I do that a lot. I don't think she actually found it funny.
