Mental illness is a very serious issue. I work in a behavioral center. When a patient talks death, explosives, killing, guns, attacks, payback, and threats, they are 99% real probabilities right there of the subject following through with these actions. Vigilant and situational awareness has to be learned and disciplined. You must expect the unexpected in our daily lives. Pray for protection and trust in GOD ALMIGHTY.
True. Again this is a failure of our system being he has been in institution weeks prior, also SAID HE WAS GONNA SHOOT UP A PLACE! At that point should be institutionalized until a change or if not indefinitely. WE HAVE TO REOPEN WARDS AND MENTAL INSTITUTIONS WITH STRICT OVERSIGHT AND TRANSPARENCY! When we closed all those (due to no accountability), that’s when big problems started. Majority of people in jails and prisons are mentally ill, homeless, or addicts. MAJORITY! They get no rehabilitation or help inside, once times up we say “bye” and they are now worse and thus we have a 80% reoffend rate. WARDS AND INSTITUTIONS!
Sadly, the cost of getting good help is out of reach for so many, I pray for the families brother

Say three people pulled out their guns in that bowling alley, what are the odds they would have mistaken each other for the active shooter? Pretty darn high. As a veteran this mental health world is lonely. Higher percentage of us getting out with severe mental health than the amount of people pulling their full 20. Many veterans will tell you what this guy did is completely wrong. But what this man is going through and feeling I can feel brother.

Usually by this time, I'd expect some reports from the FBI, and a whole run down of this creeps family and all sorts of background info. I haven't seen one bit of intelligent fact gathering. Aren't there street cameras that have this guy coming and going? I want to see a timeline of his activity, for the last 24 hours. Where did he live? Have they searched his last known address? This reporting is slow and lacking in details.
Because it's government regulated as a reason to start snatching guns.

Why didn't the use K-9 dogs to smell his car, get a scent to follow? So many cameras are usually on the streets and other businesses, to track this guys movements. He could have escaped to another county, car-jacked someone,..or just went back home, or checked into a motel.

Time to disarm the “well-armed militia.”
This guy has a military background, hopefully he is not suffering from PTSD from any overseas deployment during war otherwise it very well could end up even more deadly towards innocent people in the community. With him also being a firearms instructor on top of his time and experience within the American military (Army) he obviously is very well trained and though law enforcement will catch him in time only if he does not end his life first, hopefully more innocent lives are not lost in his rampage. Law Enforcement officers themselves need to take extreme precautions in this situation all together but of course they are aware about that already.

I just want to know what gun law would’ve stopped this guy. He was a firearms instructor meaning he passed all the background checks. He’s ex military so that’s another plus for him to get a firearm. He reported he had mental health issues and it seems like that went in one ear and out the other. We’ve had guns in this country for centuries now, less than a hundred years ago I could buy a machine gun, and this kind of stuff never happened then.

Well the states with the LEAST amount of GUN laws are ACTUALLY THE SAFEST when it comes to gun crimes. Places with the strictest like Baltimore, NYC , Los Angeles, Chicago, have much higher gun deaths. Because over half of all gun deaths in the united states are SELF INFLICTED and the vast majority of the rest are either drug or gang related. So we have a media false narrative problem when it comes to guns. Just like the media false narrative problem when it came to " safe and effective" 😢

My sincere prayers and condolences to all who have been affected by this another tragic incident.
