If he was lip synching it was probably because he was not too well and he'd prefer to appear and not disappoint his fans than cancel (like so many artists do these days). This is the last of the truly great tenors- for me the greatest - whenever he sings I want to cry...just been to a concert in Carcassonne and he was amazing. Appreciate his truly unique and sensuous voice.And contribute to his Foundation Against Leukemia.

The point of performing is giving the best possible result - not best possible result under challenging conditions or circumstances. For complaints to become valid it must be because the pre-recordings are sterile due to aggressive filtering there's no character left, but no such thing applies here.
