- Hello everyone and welcome so much to a brand new video. This is the first of my weekly updates where we catch up with how the past week has been.

Today I will be sharing this weeks weigh in along with the side effects I have suffered. They finally got me!!! I have been pretty lucky so far but it had to happen sooner or later.

Hi Marcia! Fab video 🙂 This is my 4th day...so far feeling great and haven't had any bad side effects. Cravings for snacks have all but disappeared! Amazing isn''t it. I'm still eating a normal dinner...but there's no way I could eat my usual breakfast and lunch too! I've swapped out my breakfast for a low fat protein shake 🙂 I've had some crazy dreams the last couple of nights 😄 -7lbs down too!! 😲

I am in the US (Florida) and on my third month of Mounjaro……also thrilled with the results!🥰. Just finished 4th injection of 5 dose. Initially a small reaction with heartburn, but feeling great now. Isn’t it incredible how everyone reacts differently? But we are BRAVE and PATIENT and we WILL win!💪🏼🩵🙌🏻

Thank you for your videos, I started yesterday with Tirzepetade, no secondary effects, same hunger levels yesterday and today, I’m microdosing, starting very low, half of baby dosis and I’m going to monitor how I feel.

It's refreshing to hear you have just started your weight loss.as I wanted to follow someone who has just stated their jounary. I sent my injections in a few weeks time I can't wait I have been very unhappy within myself even though family loves me but are not happy about going down this route, but nothing is working. My fears are the side affects

I can honestly say there has not been a single day that I’ve regretted my decision. It’s the best thing I have ever done. Thanks for your videos. It's nice to hear a British perspective on these medications. Like you, I'm currently on Mounjaro 5mg and have suffered all the side effects that you have mentioned as well as a couple of bouts of diarrhoea which were very unpleasant 😮😮.
I've taken a week off of the jab as im currently on my holiday and didn't want to experience any nasty side effects whilst sitting by the pool 😊😊.
Could I ask which Facebook groups you are on? The ones I've found are all American. Also any chance you could do your weights in kilos? Aged 56 down 5 kilos so far.😊😊

Yeah it’s really good isn’t it. It’s the RENPHO app which pairs with my scales. Was really cheap off Amazon.

So good to see a U.K. journey on this mounjaro. Thank you! I’m on day 13 (45 years old & the perimenopause weight gain is real! Never really had a weight issue other than pregnancies) just cannot shift these gaining pounds & made me feel horrible, sluggish & just not myself. So far 8lb down & feeling fantastic. No adverse side effects other than constipation in week 2. My head feels clearer, my anxiety is even reducing & my mood is way better. I’ve heard with new research it works well in conjunction with menopause symptoms so this is ticking so many boxes for me. Thanks for sharing your journey 🙏🏼👍🏼

Oh the struggle is real as l isn’t it. It’s just the worst thing putting on this weight. I felt I was losing my identity which sounds so dramatic.

I personally think that the tummy is the best site and so easy to do on yourself. Thighs are also meant to be easy but I’ve only used my tummy. I haven’t felt it at all but I understand your anxiety. I was nervous too the first time. Just make sure you change the injection site each week. Oh and count to 10 with the needle still in after you’ve given yourself the injection.

Hi I think that was me. Glad you are feeling a bit better today. I’m on my second week of Mounjaro. Today I feel much better. My third dose is Friday. I have got some anti sickness tablets from behind the counter and I’m hoping that next week it might help me. I have already ordered the 7.5mg and I am hoping that I am used to the medication by then 😢.I hope you have a fantastic time at the wedding. Scotland is beautiful. I live in the borders. Xx
Glad you are feeling better today hun. Is it your 2nd week of 5mg (6 weeks in total). Bless you, hope your symptoms settle. If not will you see about trying to get another 5mg instead or will you still move up to 7.5?

@@ladymawa I had no effect good or bad on 4 weeks of 2.5 . Was worried about side effects I’ve seen when upping to 5 so I’m doing 2.5 twice a week , glad I did as 2nd 2.5/of the week hit me. Food suppression so bad could barely get down water at all . Now two days later can drink but not eating much at all . Have had crazy vivid dreams from the start and on second double week dose had insomnia. I’ve lost 6lb in 5 weeks which I was disappointed with as eating good but the first month really didn’t have any effect on food suppression x
@elf9967 are you planning to continue giving twice a week? Maybe have a chat with your provider to see what they would suggest. You might be better going back to just 2.5mg once a week then look at increasing to 5mg with your next pen. I’m worried about the frequency of your injections my love. This is off license and can’t be that good for you. Hope you don’t mind me saying. Of course I respect it’s your journey but I would honestly have a chat with your Prescriber for dosing advice.
It is not uncommon in the first month not to have any suppression. This is a loading dose for your body to get used to the medication. You should still feel hungry but should start to be fuller on less food as the weeks go on. Good luck my love - hope you are able to manage your side effects safely xx
@@ladymawa no I wasn’t looking to keep it up twice a week , just I’ve seen others say doubling to 5 made them sick so they moved up to it gradually . 2.5 once a week didn’t do anything for me , twice a week has knocked my hunger away completely . Def don’t want more jabs than I need x

I am on my 2nd week, so far no side effects except little tired . Down 5lbs . I take my med on Saturday. I was wondering if anyone has stayed on the starter pack longer than the initial 4 weeks I was prescribed?
Hi there. Well done on the weight you have lost so far. Glad you are getting on well with your injections.
I have heard of lots of people that stay on 2.5mg of it is working for them. In would say see how you feel when it is your 3rd injection and order then. If you are getting food noise out you aren’t getting that early satiety it may be worth considering moving up. If you have a chat with your provider they will be able to advise you. Just do what feels right xxx good luck ❤️

Right now I don’t really think I want to. Not sure what the UA-cam regulations are either about showing myself injecting a drug. There are other videos though that are on UA-cam that do.

Hi there my love. I bought my scales from Amazon - these are the ones amzn.to/4ciLTPc
There is an app you download and it sends the info to your app via Bluetooth.
As for weightwatchers. I was already a member prior to starting mounjaro so I just switched the settings to use the glp1 tracking section. There’s lots of info on there too.
Do you mean do I get my injection from WW? If so the answer is no. I think that’s only in America as far as I believe. I get my injections from Med Express and then just use the WW app to log my food. They have some good recipes too.

Todays my 4th shot of 2.5mg, slight brusing on the left thigh, last week no bruising on right thigh 😑

@@ladymawaI've lost 16.2lbs in 3wks, started on the 4 June. Today's my last shot of 2.5mg, I haven't lost anything for a few days now, stuck on 68.4kg. Next Tuesday I'm going on 5mg for 12wks. I got 3 pens already purchased, I may adjust to 7.5mg for the last 2wks if i need. Well done on your journey, your very active.

@@ladymawathank you. I'm in the UK London. I've got the initial 2.5mg pen with another 5mg. Then went to another company and got 2x 5mg pens, I thought I can adjust the dosage from 5mg to 7.5mg if I need that extra suppressant x

Is it honestly worth all the side effects of feeling so unwell?
I’ve hardly had any at all. The ones I mention are usually fairly mild. I think in my daily vlogs you can see how well I am feeling 🤗. Only one day of feeling really nauseous. So yes … it absolutely is worth it ♥️♥️
