My youngest son was like Makiyah. He had his older brother speaking for him and there was no motivation for him to speak. He pointed and grunted. He started seeing a speech therapist at 4 and fully started talking by age 6. It was a struggle! Now at 12 he talks NON STOP! A blessing but a curse...lol
Same with my nephew, he started talking clearly at 5 as soon as my sister signed him up for therapy. He had much older brothers and he was babied a lot
My middle child was the same exact way, he's 12 too and be running his mouth😂

Real talk, for this graduating class of 2024, they gonna have to allow extra applause time!! This is the class that was hit at the worst time! No 8th grade graduation, not a normal entry into 9th grade!!! My son HATED school, but he made it…I screamed and cried!!!!

Listen. I know how hard it is to get services for a child. My son is autistic and he was on a 2-year waiting list to get evaluated. Just evaluated. So I called there behind every week and I got them in in 6 months. You have to be on top of them like white on rice
And Ben speaks with a serious accent and tone that sounds like he is a native of Mexico.
My youngest son went through the Regional Center when he was in Headstart. They had a school bus pick him up at 2 years old and take him to the elementary school for speech therapy. He spoke perfectly after that and is now a senior in college. It is so worth it.

My son is my youngest. He refused to speak. His pediatrician was concerned when he was 2. By the time we finally got in with a speech therapist he started speaking full sentences. I’m convinced he was just stubborn and taking his time lol.

My son didn’t start speaking until he was like 3. He watched alot of baby can read and everything as a baby. When he started to speak, he was very articulate and always read higher than his grade level. Give her time…

As a parent of a 2024 graduate I agree with Melissa. Valedictorian, salutatorian, senior class president. You adults, shut up talking.
I also want to pop the trunk on schools that get a big venue and limit the amount of tickets they give out. My daughter's school had their graduation at a place that holds 7450 people, but limited the tickets to 4800 (11/kid). I went to 2 other graduations that were like this. It was stupid.
Were there 2,650 students/staff in the graduating class?? Could that be why there is a limit? 🥴🤔 11 tickets sounds great seeing as how we only get about 4-5 😣😔.
@melissa8580 It was between 440 and 480. The thing is, my son graduated at that same venue 9 years earlier, and they let everyone in.

Sheesh, not to much on us Speech Therapists lol. My advice would be to go to a private practice. Wait time is much shorter . I provide services in NY and it’s the same deal with the state, it takes forever, then they age out lol.

I learned from another platform also covering the trial, the defense attorney Alan Jackson, is a former DA in Los Angeles and also one of the trial lawyers for Harvey Weinstein. But the sarcasm of Jackson and the way he goes in on those people is what makes me like him bc he is a like a villainous superhero IMO. Mr. Yanetti is amazing also bc he builds up to slapping them folks in the face. This case just presents as a bad cover up and Officer John O'Keefe deserves better from his so called friends and his "brothers in blue" as does his family.
Alienation of affection is the same thing Nene Leakes was allegedly sued for. The wife (separated?) of the guy she was dating (after her husband passed) filed a lawsuit for this same thing. She was suing for $100k in damages for her causing the downfall of their marriage
I took my son for hospital evaluation for speech therapy at 2 1/2 for stuttering and not having many clear words. They gave him an IEP to start the in school 4 months later it was like April when he had his evaluation. When school started he was speaking perfectly. But he still has therapy for 7 months because in my opinion why not. Now at 5 he talks way too much.

I’m in NC and I could’ve sued for alienation of affection but I was too hurt and just wanted to get it over with. Also you have to be separated for a year before you can get a divorce in NC.

Swai is the worst smh. Used to be called Asian Catfish but it’s not really catfish. It’s much cheaper and factory farmed. They aren’t suppose to but restaurants will have catfish on the menu but actually serve you swai. They’re really getting over bc catfish is like 3 times the price!

My son's school has a 2 ticket limit per graduate. Wtf kind of crap is that? I'm so mad. We're a family of 5..his father has a family of 3. Not including grandparents, aunts and uncles. So he gave me a ticket and his father a ticket. I don't even want to sit next to that fool😂 And its outside, if others want to attend they have to bring their own chair and sit on the lawn...with an obstructed view😒
I used to work in retail and jlo and her team came in the store and when I say RUDE, MEAN, and NASTY. The only person that was nice and sweet was her mother. We couldn't wait for them to leave
