- Kinda lost the power of speech while recording this one, sorry about that. 😅 Anyway, if you're still here from my first Måneskin video, thanks for your patience; I've been meaning to get back to them and this was a good way to do it. It's a song of feeling old beyond your years, yet seeing more questions than answers about how to live, and about staying true to yourself no matter what the others are doing.

There is a lot of maturity in this band for their ages.
I love this group! Damiano seems to be an old soul in a young body in a lot of ways. The lyrics of many of their songs especially in Italian are so deep. His voice is not classically beautiful but, the emotions he evokes with it are really special….love the raspiness in his voice. The other band members are also very talented.
"Yeah, it's good." 🤣 I knew the lyrics were touching you just by watching your micro expressions, eyebrows going up, a smile here and there... especially older people (I am 47) have that reaction, the surprise of these lyrics coming from a young writer, mixed with nostalgia for one's own enthusiasm and actionism, 20/30 years ago.

I saw the line about teaching to see colors in a different light (pun intented): more than the author thinking that they're different, it's about accepting that everyone is different and we should be true to ourselves, while people that only see in black and white think that there is only one correct way to live one's life
It seems the lyrics made you think about it. That's not the case in English music, so
this is different. Glad you had the lyrics on. Yes, they are very good at what they do.
They wrote an universal message to new generations. Regarding the chances you have in your life they said so because they beginning singing and playng in the streets of Rome, with a lot of people insulting them for their music and the way to dress, so if they could be able to do wath they wont, they thing that everybody can do it. I'm not speaking about be famous but put all yours efforts to do wath you really desire. Anyway i like your reaction.
Maneskin won Sanremo also thanks to the vote of the Italians. Maneskins are highly appreciated in Italy.

I'm so glad you liked it, I'm more or less agree with your view, and yes, some singers doesn't need two thousand octaves, actually most of my favorite singers don't have it but they have emotion and expressiveness in their voice, and something indefinite that keeps you hooked, like Damiano.

Well, I like the way you "just trying things". I'm not agree with everything you said, but after I got lost in your comments on Coraline and now it's late at night, tomorrow I have battles waiting for me, I don't remember anymore for what I disagree but ... you are exactly the kind of person I like to argue with. When I remember what I want to discuss. 😅
I'm happy to hear another perspective, especially from people who know more about the band, or the language and culture, than I do (and I know almost nothing about either). And I'm glad you like it.
